What an amazing video! Great job doing your research and sharing this information.
recently got my honorable discharge from the navy and am starting at WGU on jan 1! iâm excited! loved the video!
Howâs it going ?
Excellent information, would be nice to balance with reputation. Seeing a lot of mixed reviews on LU. Got my BS and MS from WGU. Agree with your review.
This video was AMAZING! So much great information!
Glad it helped!
Man. I always feel so lost in this. My barrier to entry above my paygrade is just a degree. I haven't been to school in 19 years and don't even know where to begin with financing or well anything.
This video definitely gives some food for thought. I was already looking at WGU a couple years ago, when I shelved the idea of school.
You should go for it (if it makes career sense). You're not too old, and school is easier than you remember--I promise.
Do it man! No need to feel apprehensive about it. There was a 63 year old in my animation program, and he did just fine! And had a blast!
Thank you so much for the information! Very helpful!
Hey, I'm so glad it was helpful! Be sure to stick around. I have a video coming up soon about the 5 Best Majors for Busy Adults!
This helped me so much!!! After graduating community college and doing a yr in a traditional 4yr school I absolutely hated it but I also finally admitted to myself that biology is not for me especially chemistry. Thank you!!!
Haha, yeah, you gotta learn what is right for you, and I agree! Chemistry is the wooooooooooooorst.
@Yusuke Noguchi honestly I hate how many course you have to take that are completely irrelevant to degrees/career like whatâs the purpose of them đ

Iâd take a serious look at Wilmington University. Thatâs where I went back to school and got my Masters degree. It was very affordable and an excellent experience. Fully accredited as well. Great video!
Awesome suggestion! Thanks!
Wow. I live down the street from there. Didn't know they had online program.
I tried applying to Wilmington in 2019/2020 when I finished school. It was an absolute nightmare trying to get in contact with anyone and was impossible to apply as an international applicant. Not sure if itâs changed now, but I was super disappointed as I liked the courses their degrees cover.
I'm sure they're a good college but I find it ironic that they offer an Artificial Intelligence program when their "chat with a bot" on their website doesn't even answer questions very well. You think they'd hire someone to program more "intelligent" AI software to answer students questions. That'd be an ultimate form of advertisement for them for that program alone if they could accomplish that. Especially if they showcase that someone similar to an AI student are the types of people that designed the programming.
Something like,...
*This chat bot is designed by one of our very own AI program's students*
They'd probably have more students and/or popularity than they could shake a stick at.
Like all businesses though, even colleges, money is always one of the biggest obstacles.
Thank you for this!
You are welcome, Maria!
I want to THANK YOU! I withdrew from University of Phoenix and was getting ready to go to Capella so Iâm so glad I ran across a video to make a better decision for myself Phoenix was good however they change the curriculum and they wanted you to test every week for five weeks for a busy working mom wife that was just too much for me so Iâm looking for a school with their curriculum to finish my beer than human resource management

Just graduated from WGU in August!!!! I transferred in a lot of credits (I have an associates degree). I now have my bachelorâs! It was not easy but it wasnât extremely hard either! I changed my major in March 2023 and I was done in August 2023. Couldâve been done sooner but life was lifing lol. Itâs totally worth it! Good luck to anyone getting started on your journey!!! You got this!
Congrats!! đ„ł
For IT degrees, WGU allows you to transfer in IT certifications for credit. When I went there, the only requirement was you had to have passed within the last 5 years.
I love WGU!

WGU is THE BEST! I was able to advance in my degree program so quickly and save so much money! I donât know if itâs like this anymore, but I had a professor call me to offer assistance in one of my math projects. I wish they offered more programs!
Just signed up for Liberty University online. I'm 52 yr young USAF Veteran with Associates degree in Business Administration from 2000 community college. I was pleasantly surprised that 96 of 120 credits transferred. With military discount I am excited to complete my degree sooner than I thought. Looking for scholarships to get me through!
Oh, man! You'll knock it out. The Interdisciplinary Studies program will get you graduated the fastest.
This video is incredible really I need a degree for that next step, I have an Associates Degree and I am afraid of schools saying we can not accept anything and you have to start over. I might do a sit down talk and go over the degree path. Really its just a piece of paper that says you did something hard and stuck to it.
Thank you so much!! I was recently accepted into Liberty's DBA program because I saw this video!!
Congratulations!! đ„łđ„łđ€©

Two years later and I am two months from finishing!!!! It wasnât done in 6 months but Iâd say 2 years is quick for a bachelors! Thanks again!
Wow this is good information!
Thanks!
I love the idea of wgu but it wasnât fully covered by the guild program with my job so instead I am starting Snhu with 90 credits on May 1st, the exact same transcript evaluation wouldâve had me starting with 45 at Wgu. I plan on graduating Snhu in March of 2024 and starting my masters ar Wgu in May of 2024. Business administration major, and somebody who only had 34 college credits at this time last year. Iâm glad I found your page, Sophia learning and Target/Guild education.
You're awesome! Keep up the great work!
Low graduation rates could be explained by students transferring to a âbrick and mortarâ school.. For example active duty military who take online classes while on active duty, then transfer to a traditional âin personâ college after leaving the military.
That's a really good point, and that often happens. That's where I find it useful to go to collegescorecard.ed.gov and see what percentage of students withdrew without transferring.
Thank you đ„°

I want to earn my bachelors because I'd open up so many doors of opportunities. Any advice? After watching your video TESU seems what I'd like to go shoot for. Awesome video!
WGU let me transfer in 36 credits from my previous undergrad degree towards their Bachelor of Science in Software Development. Then I transferred in another 11 credits from Sophia which only took me a month to complete. So I came in with 47 credits which is nuts, 38% completed with the degree with their transfer process. Now the plan is to take 2 classes a month for the next 9-12 months and graduate with my second bachelors. Having this second undergrad will help me change careers into tech and prepare me for the grad school I want to go to

Absolutely! In fact, I've advised overseas US soldiers, and I've had people from China and Germany as students!
Searching for best online colleges your video came across. I am debating LU university and WGU. I have an associates degree in Business Administration. I want to finish my BA in business administration concentration in accounting or just accounting. I am a busy mom and a teacher but I want to finish fast so I am determined to put some effort. Applied for both so I will check which one works better.
Iâm in a similar situation and going for BBA with a focus in Accounting. I think Iâm leaning towards UMPi.

I recently earned a BS Business Administration from UMGC in just 2 years. I started off with 24 credits from military experience. I earned 42 credits through Sophia learning. I took 15 classes entirely online and 5 classes face to face. Now I am about to start my MS IT Management at WGU. I plan on finishing the program in 6 months which means Iâll have earned my Masters in less than 3 years. My final goal is to get my MBA from CMU or ASU.
That's awesome! Great work and good job keeping up such a solid pace.
@@CollegeHacked Thank you!
Is there a reason you're working with WGU now ? Is UMGC not as good? Asking because I'm currently enrolled in UMGC for cyber security and debating between staying there or transferring to WGU
Excelsior University is an excellent choice. Low residency requirements, favorable transfer credits. The whole process is really easy to get started and stay on track (everything is done through Canvas). If you put in the effort, it should not be a problem.
I appreciate all the comments, and a lot of people agree with you on the proctored exams.
Can you share with me more about your experiment at Excelsior University?
Yes you are right I got my degree from them in 3 months because I had 90 percent of credit already.

Can't go wrong with SNHU or Bellevue. You're spot on about the dropout rate at SNHU. High acceptance however, I cant begin to tell you how helpful they are answering questions around the clock from IT support to general questions. Bellevue out of Nebraska was just as awesome for me. Both accredited, both non profit.
We are still sad about SNHUs recent decision not to accept Sophia credits in their general education section anymore đ
How is Bellevue, thinking about finishing off my bachelors there, any thoughts ? Going full online
Damn I'm thinking of Bellevue. It's 449/credit now, but I've checked their Sophia eligible credits and it was a lot!
I'm thinking about transferring from University of Arizona global. A lot of the classes are useless and are raising costs.
Thank you so much for the help and insight! out of the 5, which do you recommend a degree in business management?
Honestly, it's not going to make a difference as to the degree itself. It really depends on what you want out of the process. I will say that LUO has a really easy-to-hack business degree, so while I wouldn't recommend you pick one or the other college, I would encourage you to at least look into that one.
Happy to do a consultation and help you compare/pick the perfect college for you! www.collegehacked.com.
Im going to SNHU just made the Presidents list. Cyber security degree is coming along smoothly. Year 1 though.
Nice, what was your field of study before?? Did you start fresh in cyber security?? I'm focus on that field as well. I need motivation and wants to hear your experience so far and how it's going for you. Is there any challenges...
Thanks
@@weakenfalls1 so I worked in a warehouse. Not really any prior IT experience other than the average working with computers in a gaming setting. I took my first class that involved coding (mysql). It was actually kind of easy once I got the commands down. The only challenge I have is balancing work and school which often leads to me submitting my work the day its due lol.
Thank you for this. What do I need to do to become a RN? Iâm in GA. Or I will just have to do the two years for an associate degree at my local community/tech school for RN instead?
It seems to vary by state.
I earned my A.A from COSC in just six months and a B.A from TESU in a year and a half. I'd suggest both schools; TESU is great for transferring credits, while COSC has good instructors. I chose WGU for my master's, aiming to complete it in one or maybe two terms.
Awesome, Shawn! What will you pursue for your MS at WGU? đ
Looking to test out of as much of it as I can and knock out a degree as fast as possible while still working full time and having time for my family. Which of the schools you shared have the best options for real life experience credits and test out options?
LUO probably has the best real life experience options, but UMPI is the fastest/cheapest. All the schools I mentioned are very friendly for test out options except WGU, which has its own strengths.
Itâs a bit overwhelming playing the return to college game. Especially with transferring credits. One thing you didnât touch on with these 5 schools is how they might evaluate older courses / âexpiredâ credits. I think with pandemic era, there are tons of people with older credits theyâd like to apply to a new or finishing degree. Myself included. Also, which programs within respective schools are the best to obtain degrees in? Going bts for a liberal arts degree is a waste of time, unless you just want the accolades of having a degree.
Interesting points, J. You'll find that over 85% of people go into careers that have nothing to do with their degree, so a liberal arts degree is really useful in just being a rubber stamp that gets you the job. Annoying situation to have to live in.
If you want help picking a good major, you might like this video where I use examples from the colleges in the video you watched: czcams.com/video/3M_32oNubIA/video.html
They may accept the credits if they are old. They wonât take old math or computer classes. I advise getting your classes evaluated and retake the ones you need through Sophia.
Great videos!!!! Thank you!!! I went to GMU and they told me to go to TESU to grab credits and they would accept them.
Hey super informative and great video!! I've been thinking about going back to college but universities are so expensive. What online college would you recommend to a student currently with 60 credits and a transfer AA English Degree from community college who's looking to earn a BA in English but at low cost?
Great question. I like this one: online.umpi.edu/degrees/undergraduate/bachelor-of-arts/english-professional-communication-journalism/.
Or this one: www.snhu.edu/online-degrees/bachelors/ba-in-english-language-and-literature.
But most of the schools in this video have a good cheap BA in English. I would look at their course catalog and see which schools have the most interesting courses.
What is your feel on the Software Engineering BA from Penn State World Campus? I feel like the curriculum is very math and applied math heavy and interesting classes that have a focus on embedded classes. Plus they have a ABET accreditation.
Unfortunately, that's a little too niche for my expertise, but I always recommend trying to talk to a professor if you can even if it's just over email. Great way to learn about the program.
Thank you very much for the info I am filling out the application at TESU right now, preparing to obtain my masters in cybersecurity.
Awesome! Great choice. LUO has a great cybersecurity program too.

@@nazimeardolic7845 CLEP, Sophia, StraighterLine, and DSST are great places to start!
My biggest dilemma is whether online schools are respected as much as a traditional college. I despise OSU, the traditional college I currently go to, so I want really badly to transfer to an online school. I just don't wanna lose the OSU name. Would you say its worth it? Will I still be able to get a credible degree? I am a mechanical engineering major if that helps.
Thanks! :)
Hmmmm...much harder to get mechanical engineering online. If that's your goal, I'd stick it out. But I wouldn't worry about the reputation of online programs. Sure, some folks are biased, but that piece of paper is what matters.
Getting involved in campus orgs >>>>>> school prestige in mechanical engineering. Ive been given offers over ivy league and MIT/Georgia tech students simply because i actually did a lot of work with my school's rocketry and robotics competition teams. Im going to my local state school which is far from top tier in engineering
Its a bit harder to do this if your mechanical engineering degree is online. Your degree probably wont open doors alone, there are too many mechanical engineering grads vs the mechanical engineering jobs. Not to be negative but just trying to give you some real advice
Thank you very much!. What would you reccommend for an international student who want to finish up online with in a year of time frame?
Thanks a lot!!
I really recommend TESU or University of Maine. Both are great options!
I am really leaning into UMPI or TESU as an international student transfering some credits and hopefully going to follow your advice to end everything in one year while I work on my business. I had a question would there be an issue for doing a masters because I want to do masters after undergraduate at Australia or US ? Especially with regionally accredited is that an issue with international schools not accepting these degrees for masters / post grad. Would u recommend a "bigger name " to avoid this issue like a University of Wisconsin, Purdue global Umassdartmouth etc
Go for what fits your learning style best.
Thank you
You're welcome!

WGU is now partners with Amazon and it's career choice program.
It's a great option.
Very informative video. What are your thoughts on American Public University System? The fact that they are for profit and their graduate rate concerns me.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of them for exactly the two reasons you mention. There are cheaper, higher quality, less predatory ways to do school. Basically there are schools that are better in every way.
I actually like them! They have so many electives to choose from!
I will look into excelsior as an option. I was just turned off by the high out of state fee.
Yeah, I'd avoid EC at this point. Like your other comment mentioned, UMPI and SNHU are both great options.
I will be going to SNHU I just got accepted for my bachelors in Forensic psychology and out of all my credits from my community college that transferred it got me over halfway done, I just need 57 more credits and Iâll be set

Dr. Clifford. After serving over 40 years as a second-gen Christian missionary to Mexico, and having worked as a self-taught BI/ Tableau Developer in the healthcare sector for the last 8 years, I am finding it necessary to once again re-invent myself in order to ensure job safety and security. I am native level fluent in both English and Spanish, so the path of least resistance would be a BA/MA in Spanish. The second option is to continue to build on my existing IT skills and pursue either a BA in Cloud Data or Data Analytics. However, being 60+ and working full-time, the first option makes much more sense. The one caveat is that I need to do it in the least amount of time at the most affordable cost possible. What do you recommend?
Great question. So with the first, there's only so much testing out of a Spanish degree you can do. And same with the second. They are both somewhat limited. So if you wanted to make this as easy as possible, I'd consider finding any old bachelor's degree as long as it's hackable and then using that to leverage you in to an MA in Spanish because I think that will be the easiest. Of course, if you'd rather be making IT money, then I'd go the other direction.
I'd be happy to do a session with you over at www.collegehacked.com. :)

There are better schools :) Check out Liberty University and Thomas Edison State.
I have been on the fence about WGU but now that I have seen someone talk about it. I think this is enough for me to finish paperwork and get my cyber security degree.
did you enter to wgu? hows it going
People go to your local community college. It's usually cheaper than the online schools he talked about, you can take an in-person class if you want, and you can actually go to the campus for services if needed. I went from SNHU to an in-state local community college and it is way better. Quality is better or, at the very least, not worst.
Most CC's won't offer a bachelor's degree, but a CC is a GREAT way to earn some of your degree for sure! And very cheap.
We watched this video for ONLINE schools not in person. I understand what youâre saying but our schedules as working adults means in person is a no no.
@@Relanii True. I'm attending a local CC and taking online classes only. The cost per credit is cheaper and the school does offer BA/BS degrees. These are the benefits I alluded to in my original post. Then you have the additional choice of visiting campus if needed.
Testing out is actually better. I went to a community college and it takes longer to complete a course. With my current college I can accelerate through courses.
Thank you. Iâll be choosing my program based on this list. Is there an easy way to know which of these give you a transfer cutoff in the beginning, and which let you achieve and submit transfer credits throughout your studenthood?
WGU is the only one I know of that has a transfer cutoff. I don't think any of the others do, but I'd doublecheck whatever your final pick is.

Can you do a video on UMASS Global? after some basic research ive say that they are nonprofit private, WASC accredited, and has self pace competency based learning, and takes ACE credits. Seems like a good hackable college so just wanted to throw that suggestion in here.
UMASS was awful! One course ENG 103 taught me that instructors do not teach/ CZcams videos off the internet/ Blackboard is a mess/ administration apathetic/ does not honestly accept transfer credits as claimed/ violate civil liberties with threats if you speak up/ should be called UMASS Socialist...
Thanks a lot for your informative videos, I'm trying to find information about National University (NU - California), however its really hard to find reviews for that institution, do you have any information or opinion about this University?
None yet, but I might look into it.
What are your thoughts on Umassdartmouth, Purdue global and University of Wisconsin programs since they carry larger university names which can be beneficial
In the end, I'd prioritize the school that fits your learning style best. Brand names are great, but nothing beats actually graduating.
Awesome video. I will point out that WGU will refund you part of your tuition for a term if you only do a few credits.
Have you heard of California Coast University? If so what are your thoughts on it and would you recommend it?
Well, they are very CLEP friendly, but they are a for-profit, so I would stay pretty far away. For-profits aren't evil, but they're in it for money and often have super low graduation rates that suggest a bad reputation, bad courses, and frustrating barriers to graduation.

Counseling degrees are everywhere. Usually it's just a psych degree with a few extra courses. SNHU and LUO both have decent ones. Social Work degrees are almost all in-person. GCU is a fine school. They are for-profit but are regionally accredited. One of the few for-profit schools I'm okay with.
Would you say the public school options listed on this would be more favorable by employers? Leaning towards TESU and UMPI
TESU and UMPI are, I think, the best choices on here for most people (not all people). I honestly don't think 99% employers care. They want you to make more money for them.
And apparently get a mostly useless bachelor's degree to be able to do it...
I graduated from University of Phoenix with my Associates of Arts âCriminal Justiceâ I had 47 credits to transfer but they only took 16 of them or something like that. Said most of my credits would go towards my bachelorâs however, I do not want to attend that school for my Bachelorâs degree so Iâm on here looking at my options! I would love to get my bachelorâs in business of some sort! Any ideas?
UMPI and WGU are great options đ
Any recommendations on a good online school where my daughter in high school can take classes? Here high school will pay for the courses and give her duel credit her senior year!! I am mainly looking for an online school that has a really good program that will be easy for her to understand the material being taught. I donât want to get her in a program that is super hard where she ends up with bad grads for her last year in high school.
I think WGU could be good. SNHU might work, and so might LUO.
I attended liberty for three years and very hard course work and the quizzes every week it seemed, but now i am with SNHU and not much quizzes for me just a lot of writing instead
Which one do you prefer?
@@CollegeHacked I prefer SNHU they are cheaper
@@wolfgang4047 What about as far as coursework? Was one school more challenging or more annoying?
@@CollegeHacked library was much harder coursework especially with the quizes
@@wolfgang4047 Thanks!
What is the best online college if Iâve never been to college, want to do as many classes as I can whenever I want, and has many scholarships available for me to apply to?
Scholarships aren't so common with online school--the price is already so low--but I'd say Western Governor's or UMPI would be your best bet with the latter being my favorite.
Columbia University, UPenn& Harvard offers online degree programs...but bit of hoops to get in & transfer credits
Exactly. Itâs hard for most people to consider jumping through all those hoops when an accredited school built for hacking is 4 times less expensive and more friendly đ
Great Information! I have a question, which of these online schools do you recommend for a high school graduate who wants to major in Computer Science?
I've helped people look at CompSci degrees at TESU and LUO, and both had really good options. I think TESU had the one I was most impressed with.
If you want to do a consultation, I can help you research and pick the right one. :) www.collegehacked.com.
Are there any online colleges in North Carolina worth looking into?
Looking to get a degree in education online. I originally was going to attend GCU, now I'm looking into Liberty University and WGU. Which out of the 3 would you suggest?
If youâre wanting K-12 teaching licensure, WGU!
What do you think about the University of Arizona Global Campus?
It's a for-profit. I'm not a fan for that and a few other reasons. But most of them stem from it being a for-profit.
Hello, which online school do you recommend for Bachelors in respiratory therapy?
Honestly, that's so niche that without doing a lot of research, I wouldn't really be able to say, but I'd be happy to help you out in a consultation! Just sign up here: collegehacked.com
