    Id recommend making the PCBs transparent and flex, i know PCBway does that so combining the "bug screen effect" and the transparent PCB you could see way more, with the minor issue of the PCBs being slightly blurry and being able to see the traces still

    • @CaptainSteel
      @CaptainSteel  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Would have been a resin cast mold that they could quickly churn out multiples (like what I did). They would have sent the helmets out to a shop to chrome finish it, and then made the visors out of bent plastic. The ones in the video you speak of didn't have any of the electronics in them, so it would have been easy to make a bunch of them

      The LEDs I used were called the WS2812b's - also commonly known as the Adafruit "neopixel". These usually come in the forms of grid displays, or LED strips which can be found off of sparkfun or amazon (as an example)
      However, this is not what I used for this project - I actually custom designed all the PCBs myself. Are you interested in those boards? I could possibly upload my gerber files to a git somewhere for people to download, but you'll have to figure out how to order them. I can also make a small guide for how to order those boards
