Yea but some could say she's enabling her which isn't good. When I got into drugs my mom refused to help me with ANYTHING. No money no help and because of that I didn't get in too deep. Or always pulled myself out if I did because I knew I'd be alone if I did. Her not helping me forced me to help myself. Her not helping was the biggest help I got.

If this was a relationship we'd say it was toxic and Amy need to dump Tammy. I know they're family but Amy seriously needs to put her foot down and say "either you go back to rehab and finish it or we're done". She's a new mother and a wife, she can't also be a caretaker, because that's what she is, not a babysitter but a caretaker. She does everything for Tammy. Amy needs time to herself, everyone does.
Tammy needs to realize that she *NEEDS* to lose weight (or else she could die). Plus, now that Amy is a Mom she doesn't have time to be her care-taker.

Yeah! And it’s no wonder her mom already bought a funeral plot for her. Her mom just sees it coming and has no hopes for her. And honestly, I can’t blame her because Tammy isn’t even trying.
She knows this! Like she’s been told so many times and she’s cried about how scared she is but it’s never enough. I can’t believe they released her from rehab early when she was still talking about going and fueling her addiction daily, that facility was probably her only hope, but of course she chose to go back where she is enabled by being waited on constantly. This codependency isn’t healthy for either of them and if I were Amy would’ve told her “if you leave early, I am not helping you when you get home. Know where I stand if you make the choice to abuse yourself again.” I understand it’s a lot harder than that when it’s your sister, but Tammy can’t keep using Amy as a security blanket, it will kill her and that will absolutely devastate Amy.
I feel like Tammy has like given up on life at this point

honestly, as horrible as it may sound, especially since they’re sisters, amy just needs to get the hell out of that situation. if i were her i’d move out on my own with my husband and baby, or kick her out, cause that is not okay for her own well-being.
Amy definitely loves her sister, but I think taking care of her family is more important since Tammy doesn’t seem like she wants to or will ever change. There’s no reason for her to sacrifice her and her family’s wellbeing for someone so ungrateful and toxic.
I guess Amy knows that Tammy will die without her help. It takes a lot for anyone to turn their back on family like that.

Leave Tammy alone for a whole day to fend for herself. She'll quickly realise just how much she needs to change and how much the people around her do for her. It probably won't even take a whole day, just a few hours of not having someone at her beck and call because she seems really entitled

Yes and no. I feel like Amy feels responsible for her sister. Thinking that if she doesn't take care of her Tammy could die. And that's a heavy thing to carry. It's like that with any addiction sometimes on order to support and help someone get better you're willing to take the punches. The sad part is Tammy has no plans of changing, not to the extent that she needs. Sometimes you don't realise that instead of helping you're just enabling the addiction and that's what Amy is doing unknowingly. If she stopped doing all of the chores and favors maybe Tammy would realise she can't do anything on her own and has to make big changes.

I think she got a demanding personality. From the outside, yes, that is the wisest decision to do. But people with such personality have a way to make you feel bad for not fulfilling their demands. My mom is similar to her (but tammy is worse I guess). When she wants something she wants it her way. For example if she wants a pizza with mushroom, and she got pizza without mushroom she would scream and throw tantrum and call everyone stupid or useless. When she make repeated mistake, she will insist that it just the way she is and everyone just have to put up with that.
at this point Amy needs to let go of Tammy. either force her back into rehab and not take her out and/or just cut all ties with her. Tammy seems so toxic and draining for Amy.

Tammy telling her to "stfu and get back into the house" made ME mad. Amy shouldn't even be telling her to call for her meds. She grown and she's responsible for whatever she needs to do for her health. Amy should step back and focus on herself and family. That's how it should've been in the first place. She definitely knows how to eat healthy. Tammy has a food addiction and while she was in rehab, she still dosen‘t believe herself that she really has a food addiction and dosen‘t understand how serious the situation is. In her head everyone is just mean to her, in reality everyone is trying to keep her alive, cause her clock is ticking.
Amy should leave Tammy on her own for a week and when she comes back Tammy will learn to appreciate that her sister is helping her out of the goodness of her heart and she won't always be around to slave after her. It'll be like a shock to her system that may convince her to seriously help herself and not be solely dependant on her sister. Amy is under no obligation, other than being family, to go out of her way for an ungrateful overgrown child who can't help herself, even after she has been given the tools to do so on numerous occasions.

You can only help someone so far before you have to let them hit rock bottom. I feel for Amy. She actually stuck to her diet, did what it took to lose the weight and keep it off, and she has a chance to live the life she wanted for so long, but can't because of Tammy. I haven't watched the show much, but have they looked into what could be causing Tammy's dependency on food? Bc it very much seems that this is more than "no self control" or something like that, that some might spew. This looks like she has had a traumatic event occur in her life, mental issues, or some health condition that may be causing her to depend on over eating. There's a part of me that wants to say that she is either no longer scared of dying, or doctors have used that as ammunition for her to get better so often, that she's desensitized to the idea.
I also haven't watched the show that much but definitely agree with you, the comments in this video seems so insensitive focusing on mocking a person who is clearly in a bad place rather than approaching then like a human being
