A movie about a bunch of people trying to figure out why Russell Crowe is acting like a violent, erratic asshole on set? Man does that joke write itself.
For The Exorcism, the premise seemed like it would do something interesting with a film set being haunted by a demon, that could have been something fun and refreshing with meta commentary, but then the trailer just falls into the same boring demonic possession of a parent or child primarily in a home. Looks very boring, not scary or fun.

The original Exorcist movie also relied (at least for its financial success) on people who really took those things seriously and they believed that the Devil is literal like in the movie it is literal.

Elizabeth Holmes the founder of Theranos. She would put on this strange, deep voice and wear a turtle neck to look like Steve jobs. Her entire company turned out to be a scam.
The show getting a season 2 is actually a lot worse. The studio paid them to make one season, then split it into two. @@mdude3 Maybe I just wish Adum would cater to himself and not whoever suggested he react to things he does not care about. Obviously he makes money off of being substantive, multiple channels recommend him and send their audiences in when he comes out with something he cares about. On top of that, The Crow? Did he care about that too much, no, not at all, but he still had good substantive arguments. He didn't look at it as, 'I want to get this out of the way', he looked at it as 'Oh, what's this, I'll check it out and judge it as art, because I care about art.' Compare the crow reaction to this and you'll see that this is waaaaaay closer to being Sniperwolf levels of reaction. This video is one of the worst and least genuine ever put on this channel, this is not Adum talking about anything he even slightly takes seriously, this is a few sentences from Adum and a couple of trailers. He could've said something substantive, and I'm not going to concede that his quick reactions aren't usually substantive. They are, he adds a bit of his knowledge, wisdom, and care to each. I'm just asking for him to take what he's talking about seriously, which 90% of the time he does, even if he's never heard of it before. C'mon man. This video was just off, and we all know how easy it is to slip into this cycle of reacting for the sake of reacting, not adding anything of care or substance, and I don't want to see him in that cycle. He hasn't been in it many times before, this video is quite different from every other video, and I have every right to criticize it. But hey, if we want to just make content for the sake of making content, not caring about what we're talking about, by all means, advocate for Adum being the Disney of youtube. I won't. I'd hope he'd say, "Yeah maybe appeasing a small minority isn't worth my time" and go on to make content about anything else he cares about. IDC about Zootopia. Idgaf. But his Zootopia reactions he made as a joke? They had way more substance and heart than this. Because at least then he cared about making a joke. He cared about The Crow, he cared about Drinker, Az, The Lion King, The Lady in The Water, he cared about 90% of what he's talking about. So if he did this to appease the audience, fine. I'm the part of the audience who will say, nah just be yourself, that's what we want to see. And I stand by my opinion. I don't want grifter Adum, I want the Adum who cemented a legacy.

Imagine on working on season 2 of a train wreck. 🫣
I have friends that worked on Velma....................and now I avoid the show because it feels like a show that baits you to hate it.
Like..............imagine a show that draws all its characters as black minstrels, then accuses you for hating black people for not wanting minstrels on screen. That level of fucked up baiting seems to be going on here.
(because CZcams deletes my replies, I am putting my reply here).
No, that minstrel thing was a poorly done metaphor on my part.
What I mean is..................well...............a lot of hack writers are writing broad stereotypes and reductive characters and hiding their failure to write behind virtue signaling
wait, am i missing something? the black characters just look like how you'd draw any other character.
