The hot winds blowing over the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Northern Africa are called the Sirocco. This wind emanates exotic energy, creating feelings of introspection and adventure captured in the mystical messages that seem to reside in the breeze.

What I like most about this piece is how it disobeys a lot of the Concert Band Norms. The Clarinet and Trombone unison harmony sounds good in the B section, and the Horn, Euphonium and Oboe countermelody later in the B section also sounds amazing. I only wish that the flute part wouldn't always be stuck with melody lines ;( Otherwise, quite an awesome piece to play!

This piece is great both to listen to and play (I've got at least 5 hours of listening on yt and also my band), but as a player I wish the bass clarinet had more lines like 0:33-0:43 and the melody at 4:38-4:43 (although that 5 seconds of melody is more than we get in most pieces)

This is very cool and changes time signature very often. It is clearly the best song.

I've got the oboe solo, and it's a shame that we didn't get to play this piece before the quarantine. I can't get the C# to F in the last part, but it's still a beautiful solo that I can't wait to play once band can continue
