I seen alot of heavy riders liking the stock spring alot and lighter guys liking a air shock
I need to gain weight :-)
@@ElectricUnicycles I can have some suctioned off my mid section and send it to you Marty. 🤣😂
Nice job. Yep, one more point for the Master. I look forward to know how is the T4
Thanks for sharing your experience.
About me i've just change the full suspension on my HERO and i've choosed a 1000lbs new suspension (hydraulic and not pneumatic).
My weight full equiped is approx 85kg, but i found the new shock two soft so i will have to compress the coil to get more stiffness.
About the HERO i found it is very complicated to open the wheel, because lot a screws and plastics are very brittle.
Yes, the Hero is certainly more complicated to get into, but the plastic and mine was has not broken (yet). I may change the suspension on my Hero someday?
Gud job
👍
Marty, that’s why I mentioned I was at least 25lbs heavier that you (200 w/o gear). I suspected it may not be as noticeable for you but it’s great at my weight. Glad it was some improvement and another great video BTW!
Thanks again Rex. There is a local rider that has a 300-lb spring so I'm going to try and ride that wheel to see what I think.
@@ElectricUnicycles Let us know how the 300lbs feels! (and also maybe where to buy from if it's better for us ligher riders haha)
@@ElectricUnicycles Marty any update on the 300lb spring or a place to source it? I'm 145lbs in gear. Stock spring is silly stiff!
Thank you for the content
@@LCSRacing I would say it's not worthwhile changing the spring. The bigger problem is with KingSong's implementation of the sliders. I do have an upcoming modification (extremely simple and inexpensive) that may make the suspension much softer. I'm waiting for the parts.
Marty, the only good solution to soften the ride is for you to get bigger :). I’m 260lbs, and s22 feels soft :) (i prefer it over my s18). (Thx for the vidéo by the way, very educational)
But if you're lighter you can go beyond 43.5 mph seen people go 70
@@skiddysm Indeed :)
@@skiddysm 43.5mph = 70 kmh
LOL
Progressive spring/coils maybe a option?
how do I remove the bearing from the red assembly?
Thanks for sharing! Planning on getting an S22 for my second wheel, appreciate your videos! I’m in Orange County so maybe one day we’ll meet up on a ride 🤙🏼

@@ElectricUnicycles I checked it out and am gonna try to make it to the Fullerton ride, I own a v11 so the longer distance rides I’ll sadly have to miss.
Uh i can't wait for Marty Mountains to hit a 140kmh on the v13!
Hej Marty! Wonder if you have changed the geometry settings? The linkages can be fixed to different holes and then you get more smooth ride!
No, not yet. Maybe next?
@@ElectricUnicycles try different setups of that and let us know!!!
Alguien tendrá un link por ahí? Con envío a Chile? :')
He.says with a vibrating voice..."noo..not...thhh..that...much...offf...a dif..diff... difference..."
Apologies Marty that was a funny ending .
Im 180lbs and i bottom out off 3 step drops ...any ideas? I have shock set to full hard and rebound set to high
All that I can think of is that your shock is bad.
👍👍
Did you try dropping the linkage connection to one of the lower settings?
Nope, only what's in the video. That's supposed to make it a softer ride?
@@ElectricUnicycles Yep, I'll try it out. Adam did that on his KS22
@@Duf I'll look into it. Thanks
That does give you slightly less clearance between top of tire and the EUC so it may bottom out easier.
@@Argo-F-Ur-Sef Good to know, thanks
Did you see the way the Russian guy fixed the s22 sliders on isthereanyfood 's channel? Used rolling liners like in a cabinet. Then there was plenty of sag even with the stock spring.
No. Sounds like a lot more work :-(
His mod looks great. Zero information on how though :-(
Yeah no info.. but it's on your radar now, show us the way!
Doesn't look like the new spring is giving anything. It looks like it is your knees doing all the work. You need a progressive spring. What is the next step down and how much do you weigh? (I may have missed that in the video).
Have you ever ridden a suspension EUC?
@@ElectricUnicycles Yes, bought a V11 a few months ago, love it. It gives a generous amount of cushion, yes I realize that it is an air suspension but I don't think that having a spring means being stuck with a suspension without give. I think what is going on is that Kingsong is doing a poor job of matching the correct spring to the wheel.
There may be a legitimate issue with them having gone with a default spring that is geared for the uppermost rider weight instead of shipping two or three springs for a rider to choose from. They would do that for fairly obvious reasons of additional expense and that it would turn off potential riders. Or it would saddle vendors with having a burdensome equipment prep.
@@kmg501 It's not springs that are bad, it's sliders which have to much friction to really work. Check alexvodnev (czcams.com/video/kKJG2LiErDw/video.html) or Zep rollers
@@bartekstepien278 Ahh, interesting. I'm sub'd to Mikes channel but I didn't get to that video yet. Okay so I just fired it up and a FYI to interested parties, they get to talking about the suspension in the first five minutes.
Thanks Bartek!
@@kmg501 no details though 🙁
At the end, the suspension didn't look like it was even working. All knees.
Trust me, the suspension is working A LOT. I would have to shoot the video in slow motion for you to actually see the shock working. I could ride much faster than everyone else on this ride.
How do you fill the air chaimber?
There is no air chamber
@@ElectricUnicycles but wha is this chamber like thing on the side?
@@sazzowl_gaming8203 Oil reservoir
The issue is not the spring but it is coming from the slider: czcams.com/video/kKJG2LiErDw/video.html
Too bad there weren't any details
BTW, with all of the vibration in your voice it definitely sounds like the spring is giving nothing.
No Cadillac, is tank!?
140!!!!!
Lol, put the top bolt in first man.
You actually didn't need to take out the top just the bottom...
The euc manufacturers now need to give us a static/rider sag number so we can adjust to suit our weight... 340 kg just is not suitable for most applications...
It's A LOT easier to do the work on the bench rather than while it's still attached to the wheel. If you did it without removing the shock from the wheel, I'm impressed 👍
I also changed the spring to 160 kg, better but still stiff, I don't know maybe 90 kg will work...PS, now I put 114 kg spring and it still just not working for me... It just doesn't do potholes, which I was hoping to have solved...not so...
lots of tools but using the most dificult of tools
Hey Marty, I know you're married, Does your wife ride? Never see your partner in vid?
Nope
