As always really impressive work, the end product looks fantastic! Difficult to believe you've not made furniture this big before as it looks so good. Huge respect and much love from the Parkers in the UK.
I played a soul crushing prank on a fellow shopmate once. Just before lunch one day he had installed the finished top on a similar table to this video. I clipped off the tip of a screw and glued to the surface, this stimulating every woodworkers nightmare... the too long screw. After lunch he came back to his work area and lovingly stroked the table top, caught his hand on the screw tip... and then swore at himself. After unscrewing the mounting block he realized the joke.
I don’t know what brand they are! I don’t think it says anywhere on them, my brother bought them from carbatec and I remember they were expensive! They do hold a panel flat as well as edge clamping
@@DavidParker thanks for the reply, didn't know you were in Oz. I've never seen any thing close from carbatec in the last few years, but woodpeckers made a very expensive version recently.. I will have to make my own.. they are a great idea.
14 minutes of joy... and tool envy, stunning result
absolutely stunning david parker, a family heirloom for sure

This was quite a long and arduous process and I think I would’ve cried if you had done that to me hahaha excellent prank
@@DavidParker its suprising how much more time and work goes into a project, the larger the components get...it just takes longer.
It's beautiful.
Thanks Lydia!
LOVE TO SEE IT 😍
Really good job mate. Question, what (and who makes etc) are those big clamps you use on the panel ? Do they pull flat as well as squeeze ?

@@Gazfixify I’m actually in New Zealand! Yeah it’s a pretty simple design, I think I saw John Heisz or someone do something very similar
