Been in Joshua for 8 years now. Worked EMS in Fort Worth, including Burleson, and chose Joshua over Burleson. It's the only place I know of in the Fort Worth area you can be in the country and be minutes away from a decent sized town. Bought a house with 6.5 acres and it's 10 minutes from HEB grocery.

These facts are right but the opinions are skewed. I moved to Joshua with a young family in 1985 and it has been so good we recently decided to leave our bones here. Our kids are products of Joshua schools and are now successful independent tech entrepreneurs with masters and phd degrees. The community network surrounding schools, churches, and youth leagues is strong. In the time I've been here home values have grown 30x. The thing I like about Joshua's future is that it is blocked from ever getting huge like neighboring Burleson has done and that Cleburne and Godley are becoming. What that means is that I can call city hall or the isd and they are responsive now and should remain so, unlike the neighboring cities and mini-cities. Another thing I like is there are many homes and lots that aren't encumbered by HOAs. Taxes are low! All the whatever you want to buy or do is nearby but just not walking distance. Main street is reviving well and they closed it off for Santa Clause parade and a street dance after dark last weekend. We moved here so our kids could feel they were from somewhere. We're staying here because we like the community. More friendly people are welcome.
