- For such a lowkey police unit, this was a fantastic video that gave us some great insight into their environment, roles, and mission

Almost all the bigger police departemts in switzerland have some sort of special units. Kapo Aargau has Argus, Kapo Zurich has Diamant unit, Stapo Zurich has Skorpion unit etc
Hello from Switzerland, yes, no matter which canton (=state), water, forests and also mountains/mountains are available (in most cases), which requires a wide range of training.
These special units (roughly comparable to the SWAT's in the USA) are only used to a limited extent (at least that's my opinion), because crime is usually within the scope that the police forces can handle themselves; But of course, there are always tough guys or gangs that it's better to deal with accordingly "strong" than to unnecessarily endanger the lives of police officers.
The facilities and equipment (helicopters, protected personnel carriers, etc.) are from the army and are requested and made available for such operations (training as well as emergencies), each under the command/responsibility of the relevant (cantonal) authority.
I think that a single canton (state) owns helicopters makes no sense for the most part (the need is too low) and only causes unnecessary costs, so it is quite appropriate that these devices are loaned out by the army.
That was a sick video. I think your commentary and pausing was well balanced. I think most of us want to pause and check out the kit too!

02:40 Did they realy put in a Minecraft damage sound?
He did to censor his swearing
They show much more than sf like the britsh who are shrouded in secrecy if only Iranian embassy was a secret
These guys have been high speed for decades more but no one knew about them. This is a crew cut from the same cloth at the Vatican’s Swiss Guards. They wear goofy uniforms but they are without a doubt not fkn around.
That's just the ceremonial uniform

A bit confused. Swiss has a French police department? instead of German?
switzerland has 4 official languages... german, french, italien and retroromanisch.
a relatively big part of switzerland is french speaking.
in switzerland are 3 common langauges.. italian, german and french
@wesleys4507 German is just one of 4 official languages spoken in switzerland, french being one of them. German, French, Italian, and Romansh are all official languages and are spoken in their respective regions.
Greetings from Liechtenstein 🇱🇮
No it's swiss just that one part is speaking french
Western cantons largely speak French.

Weird how shields and other weapons are still relevant, very professional looking team.
With all the international diplomats and (super) rich folk hanging out around the greater Geneva area, you should afford yourself such a unit. 😏
6:18 They’re banking tax laws ensure they are well funded. All that Swiss Bank secrecy, privacy, whatever costs.
🤦🏻♂️
dude its not 2007, get your facts straight.
