They seriously need to bring back the story modes that the earlier Mario sports games had. Those were so much fun.
If I recall, Mario Golf: Super Rush had a story-ish mode, right? That was pretty neat.
But yeah, I agree, it can be pretty fun, even if Mario Tennis (Switch) had kind of a lackluster one.

If these happen at all it'll be their own separate thing, or features will have to be locked out like rewind and save states to prevent duping. Doesn't matter if fans think it should be okay, Game Freak are unlikely to let it happen, especially if they include some way to send Pokémon to Home.
guaranteed to have a few nso features locked out including rewind and or save states however i feel lets go is a close enough equivalent that im doubtful it will get rereleased at all in its current state. hopeful that im wrong though. @@EuroMIX2

The Game Boy Color versions of Mario Golf and Mario Tennis are amazing! Loved these back in the day!

Mario Tennis for the GBC is a FUN game as well as Mario Golf. 100% both of those games within a week of playing them back in the day. Props to Camelot for putting a heaping dose of style in those 2 games.
Though I do have to admit, I can understand some great 3rd party GB games having an issue coming here on NSO but Nintendo, your own IPs? Come on now that should not be a problem.
I put HOURS into this as a kid on my Game Boy. The minigames and story mode were great back then and still hold up.
I dont even think Mario Land 1 is a very good game but this is just weird. I get they're dripfeeding because the next consoles will most likely be back compatible with the current library, but they could at least save the dripfeeding for better games.
Personally Mario land feels like something that should've been there from the start. But as it stands now if it does get added now it'll probably feel like a waste to most people.
Just get an rg35xx plus and enjoy Mario Land and every other game boy game like a kid again

Rumors say that in may 2024 a Metroid promotion campaign will start. Probably for Metroid Prime 4 oder Metroid Prime 3 oder Metroid Prime 2 or even Zero Mission.
You know those ads where people are playin a puzzle or somethin and fail it in the dumbest way possible? That Dr Mario gameplay was the absolute opposite of that and was one of the most satisfyin things ever.

I'm impressed they added 2 of the best Mario Sports games for GBC! These are my two absolute favorite games of all time, and I'm glad to go back and play them all over again. Just a shame that we won't be able to "transfer pak" the characters over to the N64 games :/

I feel like an opportunity was missed here, I am still perplexed why Super Mario Land isn’t on Nintendo Switch Online yet.
So many hours I put in from playing Mario Tennis ever since I recently bought a GBC back in the day and good to see it's back again. Mario Golf was another game that I really missed out on, and I've been wanting to try that one out too.

I played so much Mario Tennis GBC as a kid. One of my favourites
Pretty cool. It's nice having these retro games available for anytime play.
The family plan ages well too. After a few years someone you own may buy a switch for themselves or their kid(s). I'm glad nothing is being taken away compared to other subscriptions.

@JohnDoeC78 people have been complaining about getting playstation games they owned deleted by some weird bug. Switch online had a slow start but it does get better over the years.
@@MrVariantand according to a Doug Bowser interview from last year, they have long term plans for the service. Basically, don’t be too surprised if Nintendo Switch Online is renamed to just “Nintendo Online”.

I used to be obsessed with Mario Tennis on Gameboy
Super Mario Land, R Type II, Pokemon Red and Blue, Motocross Maniacs and Donkey Kong games
And some of my less known favorites: Mickey Mouse, Elevator Action, Super Battletanks, Primal Rage, Batman the Video Game

@@keoplays167 Except in that case there wasn’t nothing to connect to it. There’s no old Pokémon games on the switch that would be compatible with Stadium.

There was no way to play GBA. GameCube had the Game Boy Player for GBA.
@@SquallyCoin5664 if i remember correctly there was a gbc player on the 64, it was almost like the rumble pack, but it came with Pokemon Stadium... i think it was called "tranfer pack" (?) Just remember that not all the gba or gb games could run, but there were a few that yoy could play thanks to that

@@SquallyCoin5664I think this person is just confusing GBA for 'game boy color' atm. For ref, Pokemon RBY and GSC were on the GB and GBC respectively. These sports games were like GSC, GBC games. The N64 had a way to play the two generations of Pokemon games via stadium with something called the Transfer Pak, but that device was indeed also used to use your GBC characters from the Tennis/Golf games in the big boi N64 versions.
You mean connecting GBC (Game Boy Color) Versions to the N64 Versions? GBA stands for Game Boy Advance.
