Fun fact of the day: Humans ignore the second "the" in a sentence because the brain does not read individual words, unless one is not fluent in a language. For languages we are fluent in, we skim multiple words at once, and then parse the meaning from the words we pick up as we go along.
The brain generally ignores participles, so unless it is deadly important to the phrase's meaning, it is ignored. Since that second "the" does not change the meaning of the sentence, you skip over it and continue as if you understood.
So what you are saying in dumb dumb terms are that our brains reconstruct sentences in our head
So THAT'S why I never ignore words and notice everything, it's because I'm not a human :3
