  • I was very impressed with the build quality, and audio quality, of the CKMOVA VCM5 Microphone, this is a very good sounding budget microphone. It is well worth considering, and compared well against the Rode VideoMicro, Deity D4 Mini, and Boya BY-MM1 Microphones. Have listen to the audio samples and let me know what you think.

Great vid. These mini shotgun mics are really making a difference for video makers. Multi-cam edits are the way to go 😉

Rode definitely sounded "crisper" when outdoors to me... As of now I think it's Rode mic first, then D4, then this new mic...
    Thanks for your videos man!

Thanks for the comment, it’s always interesting to see which mic different people prefer.

Rode, Deity mic more crisper, but lack of smooth bass sound like studio mic sound. comparing CKMOVA with this feeling sound to me. Anway i like this video for comparing different brand and let us know more products.

VCM5 sounded best (better low end), but it has the worst mount. You could probably mount it in the rode or deity mount -or just use it on a boom in the studio.
