- Pretty happy to get sub-10 day 1, despite how unga bunga the run was. Need to clean up some of my DT punishes. Definitely gonna keep practicing, this fight so fun for IG.

Amazing, I tried it solo with insect glaive and it took me about 15 minutes until I fainted the third time.

Leaderr nah usually solo the nova isn’t a problem at all.
Its more like getting the horns and killing him before the third nova cause then he changes elements and you can’t do much about it.
Carts in solo are usually for greed
You could also use gae bolg and Verzirtag 3 Forz kinsect with compatible element...
My kinsect does 120 damage when plunge
And solid 80 on horns, I break them twice no problem all the time

Probably just a matter of build (using a Safi glaive, 100% affinity, agitator 7, peak 3, etc.) and hitting weakspots.

How do you get the little red and yellow icons next to the buff gauge? How do you get the kinsect stamina gauge that big?
You need to have a glaive with spirit and strength boost as its kinsect bonus, then feed your kinsect any slinger ammo
Just gonna discreetly copy your build because mine sucks. And Alatreon will soon die.
You will also need the skill! They make it look easy but even when I copy builds to a T I can never get such a clean run in such a short amount of time like them.
@@prettygurlrockx Sadly this build didn't work out for me, I had to customized his 7'45 run build, than I got a 10 minute time, Been trying to get sub 10 for a while now.

May I ask for some advice? Currently, I'm running a 3-set piece Safi and 2-set piece Velkhanna armor set with an augmented Beo Glaive II. Currently, I am able to mitigate the Escaton Judgement and even break his horns with ease. Having said that, no matter how hard I try, I can never slay him after the 2nd Escaton Judgement, and that is usually when I trouble killing him. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can kill him before the third Judgement?

I mean I hate to say it, but at this point it really does come down to getting good at the fight. If you're able to mitigate Escaton and break the horns, the only thing that's left is to be more efficient in how you're dealing damage and improve the way you're dodging/punishing Alatreon's attacks. If you watched my run, maybe you can learn from what I'm doing (I've posted a couple other IG runs since this video that you might be able to pick up strategies from, and there's many other IG runners like Po Chi who've posted even cleaner runs with faster times). Don't worry about the times, focus on the play and how the runner responds to each attack. There's a lot of good openings to use descending thrust vs Alatreon, and in shorter openings you can opt for strong wide sweep -> tornado slash.
I will say, your build could use some work. The most important part for IG is having a kinsect with lvl 20 element and power charging it (feeding it red slinger ammo from the monster, like thorn pods or dragon pods). I recommend either Foliacath or Vezirstag III Forz (Foliacath if you like fast kinsects). The amount of element on your glaive shouldn't matter as much, as the kinsect can get the topple completely on its own (czcams.com/video/2eenRYVpJzE/video.html). You could even just use a standard raw build (lightbreak + kaiser/brachy armor) paired with a lvl 20 element kinsect (make sure to power charge it), spam kinsect attacks until he topples, then just play normally from there.

Alternum Thanks for the advice, and being respectful(There are many ppl who plaque the internet rudely saying “git gud” so I’m glad this isn’t the case here). I originally used a Fenrir Storm, but after a few unsuccessful attempts I went with Beo Glaive II since at this point my priority is just mitigating his Judgement. Kjarr was another option, but the Elemental boosts from augments and custom upgrades were not as big as Beo imo. I’ll definitely play with a few glaives here and there to see which works best and aim for more Descending Thrusts.

Not sure honestly. I've only had it happen a couple times in my runs, and all of them seemed to be by random chance.
Dude how are you giving 300-400 damage with each hit?? I've been doing Glaive build wrong all along if I can't pass 100 hits even with my Safi Shatterspear :(

I think that is the sever attack, I forgot the name of it, but is the butter fly looking one with 6 wings i think
Sever. The one I use in this run is Foliacath III Forz. I changed to Vezirstag III Forz in my later runs (lower speed, higher power).
@@Alternum is the jump from the level 14/15 power to 20 power that big of a difference?
@@Orapac4142 it's fairly substantial. lvl 14/15 is 115/125 raw on the kinsect. lvl 20 is 170 raw. So it's about 35-50% more raw.

I'm guessing a combination of critting a wounded weak point with getting bonus damage from Agitator 7 and Peak Performance 3
Does more elemental actually help with the DPS check?
The DPS check only counts elemental damage. Once you deal a certain amount of elemental damage, Alatreon will topple and his next Escaton Judgement will be significantly weaker.

How did you get him to stay still Like that ? Everytime i try it this little sh.t flies away and Interrupts my damage Loop.
Never really had too much of a problem with him flying around. IG also has a good time chasing Alatreon if he does move around.
I used a fire axe in 4 different fights and it didn't do squat
How does the jerky thing works?
You take way less damage during the animation.
Astera Jerky heals red portions of the HP bar. The reason he took less damage was because he was constantly attacking Alatreon with an elemental attack (Fire) which reduces the lethality of Escaton Judgement.

You can break them twice
Ice element for Kinsect?
No need. Can force him to stay to go back to ice active form if you break his horn before the first Escaton Judgement (or fire active form if that's what he started with). Basically, spec for the element that hard counters his starting form.
How to get both Kinsect buff active?

So does raw effect elemental damage cause my insect glaive (valkanha) has 500 ice but you seem to be doing more damage?
Raw and elemental damage are calculated separately. Velkhana glaive has pretty low raw. I use Safi in this run. I'm guessing your build is also different.
@@Alternum yeah it is. Maybe I should get Safi glaive. I just don't like using elemental weapons. Is it better to go more raw with less element or more element with less raw?
1HP definitely more elemental, have a decent amount of raw tho
1HP the more elemental gets his elements contained quicker and easier, like upgrade kjarr weapons to level 12 and you should have a decent raw and elemental with crit element

How do you heal your life by hitting? I don't see any ability on set to get that effect
