I much prefer this view point, as it allows us to feel part of the race alongside you, so for me this was by far the best way to broadcast, immersive, realistic, and it felt great. Keep it coming, as usual the content from you is top draw
Also gives us a glimpse of Dave's shiny dome :)

Thankfully I am a very understanding of what Early Access games are like so I go into it with that mindset. Used to love Forza but that changed about 2 years ago now. Strictly sims.

I loved that POV! It felt like I was driving the race with you rather than watching you. In particular, you could see the work required when watching the steering inputs. Keep them coming, please.
Good race! Nice vid too, it’s nice to see the full view now and again. That’s the beauty of triples, not just the FOV but the sense of speed that gives you in your peripheral vision, and I got that from the video too

@@ACFUN34 You can already use VR if you set "+VR" in the launch options, there is a video on youtube about that. It will come officially in the next patch apparently which is next week.
Graphics is not good, I just installed it last night and the graphic is in same level as rfactor2
@@Rezamajedi set up MSAA 4x good resolution and it looks good 100% even with medium graphics

Although I like to see what you're seeing, I must admit that I found myself several times in looking at where the relatives normally are. I missed them. Somehow, this information seemed to be relevant for me at these moments.
On the other hand, it is more immersive to "sit in the car" with you. But I'm missing you head movements.
To conclude, I would say, I neither get the (assumed) important information on-screen and I don't get the full immersion as if you would have mounted the camera to your head.
Or probably, I need to get used to that view...
However, great video. I like watching you drive because you're so much better than I am and I can have a beer while watching you. :)

This is the exact view I want for my setup! I don't have nearly as fancy as you but I gotta start somewhere, and this view is the one thing I absolutely know I want for my setup. How did you get your camera set up in this way? I love this type of view from sim racers, the first person look. It's WAY more immersive as a viewer than just seeing the gameplay outright.
7:12 That`s why i only race in VR without anything on screen , i only use Crew Chief. The immersion is incredible ! I think VR beats triples any day .

Looked great! Definitely like that view. I try hard not to use any UI but often my GoPro blocks my rear cam so I am forced to run the mirror (see my channel). It’s always fun to see how other people run their cockpits with all the peripherals and tech. But regarding the Ferrari.. definitely seems to be the “go to” which is unfortunate. I hope they do a BOP at some point to level the field.
Looks absolutely amazing Dave, I watched some of Basic Ollies footage on day one of release and it looked awful...where as yours looks phenomenal!!! Not sure why this is but I'm tempted now (as a massive multiclass endurance fan) to buy this today, and as a fellow baldy.....I have the same issue when streaming my view from behind my head 😂😂

these dailies were amazing, GTE at Monza feels so amazing, especially the Ferrari. I immediately went about 1,5 seconds faster than the RSR. And won my first race as well!
Bloomin heck, I've only driven the Porsche so far. 48.0 is my best lap in qualy.

Dave man, you ought to add this cockpit cam into your regular videos - especially when battling in close quarters so that the rest of us can squeal with envy with how much we’re missing with 1 monitor. What I’d like to know, though:
1. does rF2 LMU’s online system appear ready (stable?) for the 2024 virtual Le Mans 24?
2. Any news on the anti-cheat features built into the sim?
It’s interesting to see triples with the way it’s framed ( I know there’s more on either side ) but what’s shown in video that’s just about the same as the 49” fov I see.
I mean technically the middle screen is nearly exactly what you see assuming Dave fov is 150 or above
But with triples you can see both mirrors, and i never ever would get back to single screen
You know when you’re lying in the bath and the water is deep enough to cover your family jewels but the tip occasionally pops out the water? 😂

Loving the sim too. Though my first race I did feel like i was trolling the P2 and Ultra classes while i was in the Porsche GTE. I probably need to up the difficutly/agressiveness somewhat from base.
Hi, visual perception is much better than one screen movie .. at least for me. A little strange angle of cars sealing on the right monitor, take of or dimm of blue light on left site of your cockpit and sure your nice round top head to be not in camera view. Good luck!

I've not used the huds for some time now, in classic car racing it's just correct in VR, no spoter either. The modern cars give the info you need on the dash or wheel. Just can't wait for LMU to work in VR online but so far racing the AI offline in VR has been a great taste of what's to come. Do you notice how more civilised the racing seems to be, I've been using the RF2 online system. Is it the good netcode or the feeling that your connected to the car and track that improves the racing?
Hold on a second here....LMU works in VR offline mode already ??? If yes I'll pick it up.
Check out the LMU forum, it's an easy enable via the back door. Can't get online in VR but works off line, works a treat all be it MSAA is not functioning yet to smooth out the aliasing. Gives a very good flavour, it runs very well indeed.

Yes I'm on 27. 32 is fine though, they just take up a little more room

Hi Dave, I've got the Asetek Forte wheel. Can you change the button LED colours, I see yours are showing blue, mine are the standard orange. I can't work it out in Race Hub.

Pretty much the high preset with Anisotropic filtering at 16x

The bezel free kit is the most fragile piece of kit I've ever had on my rig. After half a day I already had to kit it back together... It's amazing once installed, but it's an expensive lottery ticket

I don't mind the view - except it'd be better if the camera could see exactly what you see. I don't like the way the side screens drop off because of the camera position/angle.
