God I was so addicted to it, played since 2007 ❤️ then Lgttc came out love it was addicted to it too then new leaf... it was okay, then new Horizons it's okay but not what it was
7:10 In every other game than New Horizons the game truly played when you were not playing. That means that the duck actually just started moving a day ago and that also means that Anthony maybe had completly different neighbours when he stopped playing
The flea market event would be a wonderful thing to add to New Horizons. That way you could fix villager homes you messed up by buying back your stuff as well as maybe getting a few cool new items.

This is what we meant when we say we miss old villager dialogue.
I started playing AC with Wild World and the mean dialogue made my friendships with the animal even more valuable. I actually had a reason to dislike villagers beyond their appearance. And it was even more special when you befriended a mean villager.
Also, mean villagers trample your flowers if you weren’t buddies.

Old Animal Crossing was great. The characters had different personalities instead of the collective of sugar coated honey gumdrops in NH.
Well it doesn’t really look good for your company if you’re most common NPC’s are calling children “useless” and “stupid” etc
And yet the games are still popular/fondly remembered.

As a kid growing up, I LOVED playing wild world. I would discuss with my nana the social struggles and achievements I had in this game.
"Damned if you do, damned if you don't" was one thing she said, when both options I could pick for a villager got me into trouble XD
I was extremely sensitive as a kid, but I loved playing the game and making the mean villagers happier anyway

I think it's more that "Anthony" bugged them to the maximum point he can achieve, returned the copy to GameStop and intentionally didn't delete the savefile for someone else who bought his copy to see

When I got my tomodachi life the person didnt erase their saved data. But I erased it because I wanted to make MANY people.
this is why i’d rather the old ac games, i love the villager conversations, yes i may have been bullied nonstop by villagers as a 7 year old but i miss it
I loved New Leaf (would play again, absolutely) and I love New Horizons. And I love my villagers, all of them! Every! Single! One!
It's nice to see someone else is also not that fond of the villagers being the way they are in the older games. it really does seem like everyone likes mean villagers. I personally don't, so I'd spend ALL my time trying to get them to like me. ALL OF IT. I'd want to make friends with everyone!
That aside, exploring old save files is fun!!!!

I just got this one for Christmas, and when I played it I realized it’s just city folk, but with a few different changes. (Yes, I know city folk came out after this one.) (Also, I liked it better when animals were jerks.)

This reminded me of the time I was playing animal crossing new leaf. There were these two villagers that were just absolute best friends. Matching shirts and everything. Until one of them asked for my opinion about moving away. I said sure since I wanted to free up some space and meet new villagers. I don’t think her best friend every forgave me for that 😀 she was so mean to me, lmao.
I never really played Wild World, but it’s basically what I’ve heard from old Animal Crossing games, maybe Part 2 from a town or an island?
This popped up in my recommended and I gotta say, *intense* flashbacks to spending hours with my brother where one of us would pick weeds and the other would try to cover every tile with a custom design (we did this in both of our towns...)

played this game alot in the past until a friend borrowed it and then borrowed it to another friend. never saw it again.
if i remember correctly, the game generates the town fast foreward for the amount of time it hasnt been played.
when you change your ds time in the options foreward for like 2 month, you should have weed everywhere and the animal citizens are changed. i also think in this animal crossing you were just a citizen in this town with no responsibility for others.
When you take even a short break from Wild World weeds go insane. Phyllis is the mean nighttime counterpart of the nice daytime worker at town hall, Pelly

I miss way villagers were actual characters back then. I loved this game so much and played it up until a few years ago when my cartridge stopped working :/
About six months after New Horizons came out, I went on Ebay and bought a used copy of Population Growing, Wild World, and City Folk (the games I never played before). The files had not been played in years! The neglect was everywhere, the villagers were blubbering with happiness to see their old human friend (I don’t remember the exact amount of time since I bought these games almost a year ago, but I want to say the Population Growing villagers had not seen a human in 18 years), and the houses I seized control of were festering with cockroaches and had the tackiest furniture/flooring/wallpaper ever! As someone who started playing Animal Crossing when New Leaf came out, it was shocking to see the limitations these older games had. The players had much less to work with, but I could imagine how happy they were when they found something new. They appreciated what they were given and held on to their stuff until something better came along. They had to find creative ways to express themselves with the limitations, whereas now, expression is abundant. It was quite an experience to waddle into towns belonging to people that were children then, grew up, and sold their games either because they needed the money or the village lost its meaning to them. Each town was a time capsule for my eyes only. Because I love playing the games, I did delete the old towns and create my own, but becoming a witness to someone else’s childhood was humbling. I challenge FootofaFerret to play Population Growing! Have fun sending fossils in letters to the Faraway Museum for inspection!
Goose is one of my favorites. He was one of my original villagers in wild world along with Gaston, Apollo, Jay, Bluebear, and Anchovy.

It says something that I've have Wild World for a year, played through countless flea markets, and had to learn that they come to your house to buy things from this video. I really never go home. Also I instantly knew it was Saturday cause of Lyle, my god. I run so fast away from him whenever I play on Saturdays.

You can actually still play online if you use your phone's 4g as a router. That way you can have someone shop at your store so you can unlock the final upgrade.
As to what you can do, i recommend sending letters with fruits to your villagers so they can send foreign fruits which you can then plant and sell for a lot. That alongside with fishing, catching bugs, hitting money rocks and selling sea shells and fossils should give you enough money to upgrade your house, buy furniture/items (i really recommend getting a drawer or closet so you can access the storage), donate to Boondox to get the special letters/feathers and increase your Membership Points at the store to get discounts and cute models. Earning money is a real challenge in this game, but it's also incredibly balanced which makes it fun.
By the way, villagers will make requests a lot more often in this game and their rewards are great, so talking to them is really benefitial even if they are rude sometimes (which can be funny).
Also, planting lots of flowers in each Acre will help you get Perfect Town status.
You can create your own paths by talking to Mabel but you can also get some cute ones by feeding Wendell, paths look great in this game so in my opinion it's the best way to make your town look prettier (planting and organizing some greenery also helps).
There are lots of Special Visitors in this game and there is a quest in this game where you help them get their favorite items which will reward you with the Golden Axe at the end (you can check which special characters are visiting by talking to Cooper). You should also check the Recycling box everyday, sometimes there are cool items there.
Blathers is hilarious in this game, he often talks about eating fish, so i really recommend donating to the museum (also you can make constellations and have a conversation while drinking coffee at the Roost).
My favorite thing about this channel is the animations, it’s so funny 😂

Wild World was the first Animal Crossing I've ever played when I got my DS Lite. Yes there's nothing much to do compared to New Leaf or New Horizons, but y'know it's more than enough to keep 10 year old me entertained for hours every day when I played after school. Also I severely miss the animal personality and rude dialogues that was missing in New Horizons. The music is also a real nostalgic banger, I miss it sooo much.
