Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier czcams.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster - especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part - the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part - if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.
Great simple recipe. Is the banjo optional? I only have a harmonica.
Hahahaha you fucker you
You can only substitute the banjo with mandolin... Sorry
😂😂😂
😏
The harp is a comparable alternative.
This guy knows what he's doing. I use the same process (keeping them together at first). Most newbies tend to cook them too fast and too hot which just doesn't get them tender. Nice work.
Totally agreed with this. Folks tempted to rush on the high heat to get the charred BBQ but lack of tender and juicy inside. Charred theory is always something that you can get fixed up easily at the end. 😎
@@NYThaiapple my gf is vegetarian so I don’t cook as much meat as I used to but I’ve gotten more into cooking chicken wings-I’ve definitely learned that the browning is not nearly as important as slow, even cooking to keep the meat juicy and tender. My favorite method right now using frozen wings is to roast them in my preheated cast-iron skillet. Preheating keeps too much fat from rendering out and you can coat them with any seasoning or just salt and pepper then sauce them after. Skin side down first, 45m-1hr in the oven flipping once and it’s only in the last 10 minutes that you get a real nice browning on them. They come out crispy on the outside without deep frying and it’s great for feeding a crowd, just throw some more wings in the pan and toss it back in. I’ve gotten so attached to the method that I might just throw my skillet on the grill this summer😂
I just learned this method yesterday, I came here to see others people way of cooking chicken legs but same process so it’s legit 😁

Exactly what I was looking for. No fussing about with anything fancy. Just perfect simple BBQ. Turned out great. Thanks!
Many thanks, been searching for "bbq for dummies book" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ariafan Barbecue Babassu - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my m8 got great results with it.
@@aswinibyna4479 hi
@@aswinibyna4479 live somewhat in the south (USA) so I don't really see many restaurant's that serve food from other countries which is very frustrating for me I love trying different foods that being said what is barbecue babassu? i used this as a tutorial last year when i first started grilling chicken, still keep coming back and watching again to make sure i dont forget any steps. thank you for sharing, it is very imformative yet simple
Thank you very much Ashley! That really means a lot to me!
Larry, I love when you say "anyone can do this." It inspires me to try it. Thanks too for giving the cooking time and the temperature! That makes it foolproof. Great job! -- John
It’s so sweet that he grew so much on his channel in terms of how talkative he is and funny❤️ you’ve come so far
I love how you're "real" and don't do all the fancy stuff with ingredients no one has ever heard of . I like these real and simple every joe can make type of videos.

While I would never cook from frozen, good job with this. Due to bad planning and stubbornness, I did 24 in two batches, also on a Jumbo Joe a few weeks go exact same setup except a Craycort cast iron grate. The first dozen had a rest in a covered casserole dish in an oven still warm from a pie. Both batches served at the same time and while the second batch was awesome right off the grill, the first batch wa s even awesomer after its rest. Since we often do these, I will now always rest these a while before serving. Yum!!
Jack Corry Thank you Jack! Yes, several thin coats are better than one heavy one! Thanks for watching!! Larry

Yesss, SUMMER BBQ'ing here I come...
that looks really good. My wife makes BBQ flavored chicken and it is my absolute favorite thing she makes. I say flavored instead of BBQ d because it never touches a bbq. she boils the legs first until they float, then cooks them in a cast iron skillet with BBQ sauce until caramelized. it is sooo good and never dried out.
This is how backyard BBQ should be - simple and fun
Love this recipe I love how it's simple enough for me to do for my husband and kids before they get home love how you explained this so well. Thank you
Thank you Crissy! Hope you and your family enjoy!

Sometimes simple and basic is best.Looks great!
+DesertDigger1 I agree! The older I get simpler seems to be the way to go!! LOL Thanks DD!
Its funny. I just watched another vid where the guy said NEVER put frozen chicken on the grill. Your chicken looks so much better than his. I do believe hes a novice.
Yeah everyone has different methods and beliefs. If I were cooking the chicken over direct heat I would have ensured it was completely thawed. But since it was indirect and at low temps it will work just fine. Thank you very much for watching!! Have a happy Fourth!

It’s midnight I’m starving I have school tomorrow and I’m probably never gonna make these but you know...
I followed this simple video and it turned out to be the best bbq legs Ive ever eaten! Thank you
I needed to pause the video to comment the following: You're sprinkling of SALT & PEPPER was absolutely perfect!! I am OCD when I see videos and I can see that people are haphazardly sprinkling condiments unevenly!!! UH! It irks me!!! He PERFECTLY salted & peppered that CHICKEN! LOL! Thanks. Just wonderful, I have been researching "the barbecue grill" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ariafan Barbecue Babassu - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
looks great! add cool water to a large bowl and a lil vinegar, place chicken pieces in solution.wash thoroughly& rinse, without splashing about....&pow!clean chicken. season chicken as usual in that same bowl cover with wrap place in fridge.sanitize prep area with cleaning solution.(bleach water) done this for 35 years never gotten sick once.youd be absolutely amazed at how the factory processes your meat or how clean the workers are.
Hi Crystal! I am not disputing the horrible practices in the slaughter houses or processors or how gross they are , I agree with you. I think you and I just have a difference in opinions as to what rinsing or soaking chicken does. It doesn't kill any germs, other than rinsing the surface of the chicken and in my opinion is a waste of time and water. The only think that can properly clean and kill all bacteria is cooking to proper temperature. But it certainly doesn't hurt the chicken either. But in my opinion it adds an unnecessary risk to people not as experienced in the kitchen and food safety as yourself who knows how to properly handle poultry and properly clean the areas around the sink. Rinsing poultry by an inexperienced cook in the kitchen can be very very risky, which I think we can both agree on. Like I always say there's no such thing as a right or wrong way to cook, as long as at the end of the day we can safely enjoy the food we prepare!!
Thank you for watching and commenting!

i really appreciate this kind of video. not necessarily a recipe, just a guide on literally how the chicken is cooked. thanks
Watching these videos are awesome, thank you Mr. Wolfe, for all these recipes and product reviews. Much appreciated.
Glad to see someone else cooking with a simple method! I do thighs and quarters the same way! Only thing I do different is cut the bbq sauce with apple cider vinegar, we like to
baste with a thinner sauce. I also use pecan and hickory on a Weber Kettle.
Good stuff, Thanks!
Thanks! I use apple cider vinegar to cut the sauce too, depending on who I'm feeding! I actually prefer it, but heck I LOVE vinegar! Thanks for watching!

I'm watching this on the Fourth of July, this is great!!!!😊
For once we won't eat burnt chicken!!!!! 😂😆🍗
I'm a proud JUMBO JOE owner as well, and the thing I like about the WEBER grills is their versatility. So when I BBQ "indirectly" I always *start* my cooking by placing the meat or vegetables *_directly_* over the fire. I then take a pot warmer or an oven glove & ROTATE the cooking grill so that the meat is now cooking indirectly. During the initial heat-up, that part of the grill is very hot. therefore, eliminating any sticking if I want to move the meat around on the grill. Next to the YODER adjustable grill/pit, WEBER makes the MOST versatile backyard BBQ grills in the world.
Love hearing the difference of the early videos. A blast from the past keep up the great work.
I tried this and mine came out great. Thanks a million.
Hey boss looks great! And there's something about salt pepper and meat WOW!!! Perfect seasoning for sure. Thanks boss love the channel keep em coming. That's crazy talk.....proper cooking will kill any harmful bacteria. The only thing boiling does besides cook the meat, is it boils all the fat and flavor out of the meat. Do you boil your pot roast, ground beef, pork chops before you fry, etc?
I could not disagree more........wow you even boil a steak.....I have nothing else to discuss with you regarding boiling meats.....this is a new low. You have evidently not watched any of my videos to tell me I should experiment. I just read the last two sentences of your comment.....SMH. Enjoy your boiled meat and your yacht....good day.
bob bot whatever you are smoking...cut down on it a bit..just till you get to the relaxing point..before the images in your mind kick in.
You're simple proving you are indeed a TOOL! Do you boil your toast too to get the impurities out?
I'm here cause I haven't eaten like this in a really really really long time, somones cooking some right now, late June..windows open.. the aroma wafting through the window & I just wanted to see what it looked like..I could eat all of those with a tub of chunky blue cheese dressing & some Hawaiian sweet rolls & butter & some sweet corn on the cob swimming in butter & pepper...Wow ! I'm in rough shape aren't I ?
As a previous user of Traeger+, I've recently made the switch to Asmoke and it has been a game-changer for me. The precise temperature control that Asmoke provides has elevated my grilling game to a whole new level. Cooking chicken, like the BBQ chicken recipe posted here, has become an effortless experience. The ASCA™ technology ensures better cooking results and makes cleaning a breeze. The smoky flavor that the wood pellets add to the food is just amazing. Plus, the versatility of this grill is unmatched, from grilling to smoking to roasting to baking - it does it all! The convenience of being able to adjust the temperature remotely and monitor the food temperature through the app makes it perfect for outings. And the fact that it's battery-powered and portable makes it easy to take on road trips and camping. Switching to Asmoke has truly changed the way I grill. #Asmoke
Simple and delicious 😋 that’s what I like. I like the apple wood touch 👌 I’m gonna have to try that soon
My grill was smaller so cooking was 55 minutes with 4 legs and 3 thighs but technique was the same and outcome was comparable. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hey Wolfpit I'd like your take on the Jumbo Joe compared to the traditional Webber. Good videos BTW👍
The only things I don't like about the JJ is it doesn't have an ash sweeper or catch can and the vent system is ehh.... Other than that, I absolutely love it, it's my favorite Weber I've owned a bunch. Thanks for watching Ed!
Joe Smith For all the people getting worked up about him not washing the chicken: The point is that washing the chicken, at least with water, does not have the power to kill or wash off all the bacteria. The bacteria burns off in the high heat during the cooking process. Washing the chicken spreads the bacteria around your kitchen because of the splatter. You can clean it with bleach, but there's not a big enough benefit to warrant getting your kitchen riddled in salmonella. The chicken will still have harmful bacteria that will be burned off during the cooking process.
^^^ Exactly.
Amen
Jordan Jnee You wouldn't want to clean the chicken with bleach. That's disgusting
You sure K.I.S.S.E.D that!!! Keep It Simple Silly Easy and Done!! Great and Easy. Thank You!!
Agreed. Salt and pepper is the best for bbq. Looks good!

Washing chicken in water accelerates bacterial growth. Get an education instead of misinforming other people in the comments section.

want to know what' ive been dealing with for 10-15 years? My mother thinks outside air is polluted and inside air is cleaner. I keep asking her where she thinks inside air comes from if not from OUTSIDE. Also, just the opposite is true since inside air has concentrated house pollutants such as cooking fumes, chemicals from glues/plastics/etc in household items, cleaners, paints, and solvents, etc. In her belief, she closes doors and windows to keep outside air outside which further concentrates the inside pollutant sources.
Clean it with lemon. I promise you it will clean it
When you say clean, exactly what do you mean? Lemon will only clean the surface, just like cooking it will, so cleaning with anything other than cooking is really simply 'rinsing'.
This looks so delicious 😋🤤
I just recently discovered your channel and I love it! Thank you for your contribution to mankind sir thank you!!!
He did NOT clean or rinse off his chicken? Uhm.......The way Processing Plants handle their Poultry is DISGUSTING. You can use a bit of Vinegar and cool water to soak your pieces for about 15-30 min, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. It's not about the Bacteria; it's the other crap that you CANNOT see on the poultry itself!!! Brrrrr.....*shudders*
And this is why I refuse to eat just anybody’s cooking. 🤢
