Some other important things to remember! Make sure you bring any necessary medical documents and have that insurance card ready to go. Also, have a pediatrician picked out well beforehand. Good luck folks!
What was the bluetooth speaker you used?
Guilty lol
I feel seen 👀
2:05 jolly ranchers
2:10 crackers for after delivery
2:44 chargers, Bluetooth speaker
3:27 car seat
3:28 change diaper
4:10 dermaplast
Great video! My husband did pretty well, but he forgot the snacks!! I was starving after having the baby 😩 lol please don't forget snacks for your wife!!
Oh no! Snacks are key. Even after the post-baby high, you don't want a hangry partner.
These are my weekends now. Filled with baby 👶🏾 tech and birthing classes. Two weeks to go.
Hahaha same here my friend
6 weeks to go for me
I wonder how many wives are watching this cause they know they are going to be packing for their husband 🤣
Literally me
Me! 🤣
Me lol
Me
me!
I can't wait to see my lil girl. She due on November 6. Your tips are very helpful. I will be planning on shopping soon just to make sure I be prepared.
kevin brown your gonna be a father today. goodluck man you got this.
Thanks for this video!! ive been super busy getting things ready for our baby girl to come in may. The baby hospital bag was on the to do list of things to research, thanks for making it easy on new dads! I appreciate all of your time to make this for us it was really helpful
We are about to have our first in the next few weeks! You are a lifesaver and the only person I use for info on everything! Thanks a bunch! Hope you are all safe and healthy!
I have been researching a lot prior to getting pregnant, and of ALL of the videos and CZcams channels with respect to babies, yours is the best BY FAR!!!
Still got a little ways to go before baby arrives and as a new dad I just wanted to say thanks for your videos. I’m learning a lot and finding them to be super helpful. Appreciate what your doing. Thank you & God Bless!
Your videos have been giving me confidence for more than 3 months now. My wife and I will be having our first baby next month and we are really thankful for creating nice videos. :)
Thank you sir! We are expecting in less than a month and this information is priceless. Love the channel, big fan!!!
I'm a newborn photographer myself and I always recommend to book your session while youre still pregnant! Obviously not at the early stage but even 1-2 months before your due date. Busy photographers might be fully booked and it's important to get the pictures done at the first 14 days of life!
I'm a mom and this was such a great video! This is going to be my husbands first time going through the whole labor and delivery thing and I'm more concerned with his comfort than mine because he is such a particular man. So this video definitely hit some points I didn't think of.
Thank you!!!! Wife and I are expecting our first in 3 weeks. Had no clue what to put in my bag. Thanks!
this video is pretty much perfect, i'm gonna show it to my husband. however, if you are looking into a newborn and even a maternity photoshoot, you want to try and schedule it a bit ahead of time with some places. it can be tricky, especially for a newborn shoot, to schedule a month or two ahead of time because you never know what could happen but usually photographers are pretty understanding and will try to work with you and when your baby decides to come.
You are absolutely right. We got lucky with our photographer getting booked so fast. Scheduling it a few weeks out is the best way to go.
@dad Verb thanks for this Video! My wife and I are expecting in September, and this was very helpful!
This video is so perfect love it all the information that i need to know before goin to hospital thank you so much for your help 👍😘😘
Not even a Dad/Virgin, but I like to see videos like this.
Super helpful video! Our 1st baby is due in a few short weeks & these tips will definitely come in handy!
I'm so glad you mention the clothing thing! Our hospital will let you put them in your outfits but when they go to the nursery for a bath, they put them in a hospital onsie.
I’m glad I found this video and many others because I just found out that I’m gonna be a father so watching this video definitely makes me feel more prepared 👍
Thank you so much! Using these tips to pack my bag as we speak! Baby is due in 3 weeks!!
Love this video! Such great tips and it's great timing for us too as we will be packing our bags in another month or so. 😊
Possible video idea: if you went to a birth class/classes what was your experience?
Oh my gosh!! Thank you!! Perfect timing. I’m having a scheduled for a c section next week, and I’ve got a list of things to pack for me and baby but my husband and I are trying To find a list of stuff for him to bring!! Thank you so much!!!
I was secretly hoping that I'd drop this video and someone would leave this exact comment. Needless to say, seeing this made me pretty happy 👍
Wish i would have found this before having our baby. It would've saved me a lot of stress in figuring it out on my own. Our hospital provided so much that my husband didn't need half of what he packed, though. Better than the other way around! Also, repping that BYU hoodie!
Wish this video was around when I went into labor. My s.o didn't pack anything lol, he had 9 months to prepare, 2 weeks before I told him to get his bag ready, never did lol
Good job for making this vid! Awesome dad!
Awesome tips and fantastic advice throughout - thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!
We’re expecting in Feb and this really helped to see some things much clearer. Also, the Heavyweights clip = automatic sub 😃
So thankful I found your channel - making popcorn so I can start catching up on your previous videos!
discovering this video in 2021 and loved it! thanks for outlet extender tip! will be sure to add one to our may 2021 bag!
I can't believe you worked a scene from Heavyweights into your video, but I love you for it. "The cinematography!"
I’m so glad I found your channel! My husband’s already freaking out and I’m not even pregnant yet. I’ve shown him some videos from nurses/doulas, but I think he’ll relate more to a man’s perspective. One other good thing to pack that I heard mentioned on another channel is some sort of sleeping mat for dad so he can sleep more comfortably during a long hospital stay.
Expecting our first just after Christmas 2018, this video has been super helpful brother. Thank you!
Bang Bang Music me too
Thank you!!! This video is extremely helpful!!
This seriously made the stay with my wife in the hospital a lot easier! She had to have an unplanned C section, so instead of 348 hours in the hospital we were there 4 full days. My only amendment to this is prepare for the worst case scenario, and pack 3/4 days worth of clothes. The snacks saved my butt, trail mix, crackers, nuts anything filling and able to eat one handed.
This was perfect, really appreciate the video
Good stuff, already commented a while back but we are 5 days and counting and needed a refresher. thanks again!
Wow! Almost there!
SUPPPER helpful! Thanks for video ( Joe here the husband ) . This is my wife's and I channel as she has been documenting her week by week pregnancy journey, and your channel is great! As a creative director... clean lines and design is my every day and so many of your videos touch or favor that esthetic ( not always my wife's taste but she is learning ) . Anyway love the video and channel... great stuff and keep it up... 21 weeks pregnant and counting.
Dad of twins here. We're due just before Halloween. My wife was looking for a snack list for the hopital bag and I stumbled acrossed your vid. Thank you for being a voice for us guys in this experience.
Good for you for actually doing your part.
It’s good to see this from a guy’s perspective. Thanks.
Thank you! Expecting a baby in a few weeks, enjoyed the video!
Thank you sir, due date for us is next month, you gave me some ideas I had not thought about. Thanks!
Our baby will be here in about 4 weeks so thank you for this video and your other content. It's all definitely been a great help for our first baby.
@@tamaraday9421 no baby yet. Any day now!
Taking everything from the hospital 😂. I don't have to worry about that between my mom sisters and my husband!
Just watched this video. But also added to my “watch later” list.
HA! First off, great channel, I've been watching a lot of your videos because my child was scheduled for mid-april. Hadn't had the chance to watch THIS one though, and the little guy came 6 weeks early. Definitely improvised everything as my "prepare hospital bag" task was scheduled for a few days later haha. Anyway, good job on the channel!
Thank you for the tips!!
omg I've been look for this for my husband!! Thank you!!!! lol
Hurts me when you say you need to pay for your stay at the hospital.
In Norway, everything is free.
Normally, they'll charge you a small fee for each visit to the hospital/doctor and you'll have to cover some of your medicine etc. ( Still really cheap, and if you have paid over a certain amount over the year, it'll all get covered/free. )
But from the second you get a positive test, everything is free. Completely free, if you're insecure just call ahead and take all the tests they need. They'll follow you closely all the way, multiple checkups and ultrasounds. Doesn't even need to related to the pregnancy, if she'd have broken her leg everything would've been free, etc.
And my wife has been unable to work for a while and gotten it covered, we'll soon get 10 months of full leave from work, with full pay, that we can share (almost) how we want. + 4 weeks (2 each) of leave right after the birth.
After that we'll get a small amount to cover food, clothes and basics for the baby untill it turns 18.
Man you are blessed that’s amazing. Quite the opposite here in the states
You pay for it with your taxes. Nothings free.
@@ionbusman2086 Yeah, but that’s less then americans pay in insurance.
So we same money monthly by not paying premiums to greedy companies and we save money when something happens.
@@jrgenb8107 Oh I agree. The socialism in our healthcare system is ridiculous. Should be free market, or socialist. Not this halfway junk.
Dude you are a Champion! Thank you for making this video :)
Im expecting my first child and man this Video is a lifesaver !
Awesome video. The only thing I would add is that yes, get comfortable swaddling but, don’t think it is required. Both of my boys absolutely hated to be swaddled so while it was nice to know how I didn’t use that knowledge very much lol.
Yeah, I'm sure it's relative to each baby, but a good skill to hone regardless. Our boy loved the swaddle and we eventually got some zip-up swaddle pods that he loved on. A lot more convenient to just zip instead of folding like a Chipotle burrito.
This video is helpful. My girlfriend is due on July 31st. It's happening soon.
Everything went smoothly
Congratulations!!!
Congrat! Did u get any rest?? Or have u yet
Dude mine is in March 😳😳😳
@@jesushelps she's 5 months! Yes we were able to get sleep after 1 month
Hey man if I can add, I was terrible at swaddling but I found two amazing products that helped. One was the miracle blanket and the other was the swaddle me blanket. Those were a God send with my daughter.
Heck yeah, great suggestions for any other guys out there. Thanks for that. We used SwaddleMe Pods to just zip the baby up. So much easier that way.
Great video and super helpful, but I'd also like to give some love to that Motion Butter logo/sign you've got on the wall. It's just too good not to point out!
1 week left 🤞 , watching to see if you mentioned anything I might have forgotten.
Great video! My baby girl will finally be with us in 29 days
Great video. Gave me so good ideas and some things to think about. Got a little over a month till due date.
Dude, you're so close!!
Thanks bro appreciate the pointers I was pretty lost
I don't know how it is in your region but here in Estonia, you can get a personal midwife. Our worked at the very same hospital where we had a delivery. So when we had to go and things started to happen fast even before reaching the hospital, thanks to the midwife the paperwork and everything was taken care for even before we arrived. If it's your first baby, everything is happening so quick so even when labour does take time, you want as little distractions as possible. Getting a midwife is a good idea!
I'm so grateful we were able to film EVERYTHING. It's funny because we didn't have our car seat with us, and Trevor had my family bring him his razor. When we were told we were an hour away from pushing, he showered and shaved. 😂😂😂 We had a nice ballin delivery room.
hahaha, that's awesome. Was there a shower in your delivery room? Our delivery room was nice and big, but no shower. When they moved us to the recovery room, that's where they had a legit bathroom for us.
Not from the US but this was some solid advice. Thanks for sharing!
Prepping is good but honestly just be there for your wife. Men, we don’t need to make it complicated. A few changes of clothes and the car set being secured is good enough. Make sure she has a her stuff ready and whatever she wants to take, that’s the most important part in terms of packing.
“negative ate” 👌👌
Your Videos have been most helpful. Thank you and thanks to You Tube, for without y’all I’d be so lost💪 God Bless
Thanks for the tips. I have twin boys coming my way within 4 wks 😅😅😅😅😅
Good tips i need to improve my backpack 😬
All great advice. Im going to be a dad to twins in less than 3 months and I couldn't be happier so thanks for the tips!
Congrats David! It's gonna be a crazy ride.
saw those jets jerseys in the closet. LFGGGG
currently packing our hospital bag.
Negative ate! lol. My wife did the same haha. Keep up the great work!
Hahah “negative are” I hear you brother. My wife had a 36 hour labor followed by a cesarean.
Closing in on our first baby, 4 weeks! This was super helpful! Thanks!
I'm excited for you to dive into dad life. Not gonna lie, it's a crazy adjustment early on, but it's phenomenal to see your baby grow.
Dad Verb that's what we've heard! I know the Lord will help us and give us more grace. He's helped so much already with the pregnancy.
Nicely done!
Just found your channel, and adoring everything you make :)
Thanks so much Rayna 😊
Bro how did you get 4 thumbs down... they need they’re accounts deleted 7 weeks until expected due date for me! Great video thank you!
Thank you... Our Baby is due in June so this is exciting!!
You guys know the gender or you keeping it a surprise?
We know, but keeping it a surprise!!!
This helped a lot bro
METCON 3's NICE!
6 weeks left for me!!! Cant believe im gonna be a dad lmao! may end cant come soon enough
Great list. Only had one question though a comfy pair of Metcon 3’s? I hear that right? Lol. God bless you thinking a hard sole training/lifting shoe is your Cindy pair of shoes. You’re an absolute savage!
I just got home from the hospital wish I watched this before
cool thx!!
With my first child my husband was in the same clothes for 3 days he also froze at night we went for a swim when I went into labor he didn't have a bag and we had to go
My son is due on March 24 and he’s almost 10 lbs
All that BYU gear confirming what I had strongly suspected after watching a couple videos! The vibes are unmistakable. Especially to another member! Huge thanks for your insightful videos! They make the process of planning for our first baby this fall a lot less stressful.
Got a whole bag of snacks ready! No clue how to change a diaper though.
i have a baby due in august thank you im nervous
Thank you Sir! Expecting my 1st lil on and getting my bag ready. You just made a new SUB!
In addition to the snacks I would take some extra change and dollar bills for the vending machines just in case.
Good call 👍
I had to spend several nights with fiancé in the hospital for surgery. Not baby related. A pillow from home!!! Hospital pillows do not cut it.
What car seat (brand/model) are you using at time stamp 3:28? Recommend?
What was that one long word he said at the end of the video to take home again?
Any specific advice on being in the room while in labor? I’ve read that while in labor broth and crackers are allowed.
PJ’s+slippers for dads or not?
I got to really pack bc my hospital won't let me leave the room once we get there due to covid.
Hey brother we are expecting in the next few weeks¡ I’m very anxious. Any bourbon........ thank you
What do you mean when you say that you paid for the hospital stay?
Thinking about bringing bed sheets with me to the hospital to lay over the chair since there’s been so many guys sleeping in it over the years. Yes, I’m sure they’ve cleaned it, but still feels gross 😖
Expecting father here. Was wondering how COVID has been affecting childs births.
Wait so i need to take a bag for me and her?
