- I have a lot of outdoor projects i need done to finish up our new home. I saw a company called FRENCH DRAIN MAN doing an install on a home near to us and after looking into it I feel that french drains/yard drains would be an important addition to my yard before the sod and patio are installed.
I contacted the company and recorded some of their visit, and discussed some of the other projects I want to do this spring.

if your a plant guy there are also pipes the irrigate back into the ground, you could also collect water and save if summers are dry

This was a tactic I used to keep my electrical crew out of the sun when we were doing street lights underground piping.
But one guy wanted to be on the side of the building where the gym was at noon everyday.
The fit office women downtown would walk to the gym every day at 12:10PM.
He said seeing them was the highlight of his day.
I just warned him not to stare.
He was careful.....it all worked out.

Dear Matt. I don't know the regulation in the US, but I expect that it's a requirement for planning from the land developer for points with sufficient capacity to be connected with stormwater for all the new properties in the area, and a requirement for the house developer for planning of stormwaterlines with capacity for all the stormwater from your your property with the house, driveway and garden in stormwaterlines to the connection points for stormwater prepared by the land developer. If you are living in a area with possibility for tempetatures below the freezing point during the winther time your stormwater- lines have to be secured against frost to secure the lines against freezing water with ice filling up the lines during the wither. As known they have to be open and able to take care of the spring floods and avoid erosion on your property. As known with a lot of new exstreme rainstorms the stormwaterlines must have much greater capacity than before. I wish you a good time in your new house. Best Regards Arne G from Norway

I'm not versed in the building codes specific to your location. In some areas, the local codes might also require the creation of stormwater management features like wetlands. To ensure compliance and proper execution, I recommend consulting with your local building inspector and coordinating with city surveyors. This approach is essential within the construction process. Considering the complexities involved, particularly in a HOA community and URBAN environment, I wouldn't undertake this project on a DIY basis. There are many pitfalls. Such infrastructure should ideally have been established during the initial development phase. In my opinion, the cost burden doesn't fall on you, but the developer and the municipality itself for neglecting to implement proper run off systems.

Verify that the basement foundation was properly water-proofed. Is there a perimeter drain around the footer?
It'll be interesting to see how you set up your studio with Cameras, Microphones, Lighting, etc, if that's Still 1 of your plans for a mobile studio.
An electric fence would solve the problem if they don't allow a fence.

Ha.....I just moved back to the city from the suburbs.
Living in the suburbs was fine until it wasn't anymore.
As far as drainage goes.....looks like half the water and half the problem is caused be your next door neighbor.

Please tell me you're not planning to climb Everest soon... that's a fricken death trap these days.... it will be a line from camp to camp.... not worth it.... Everybody please stop climbing Everest.... it's a huge bottleneck these days 💯 Not worth the risk...Please you all, dont climb Everest 2024.. bad feelings...
id love to try to climb again... you know i climbed it in 2016?.. but i didnt summit. but not soon... hope before im too old.
