This episode really resonated with me so much. I’m a 19 year old girl and I struggle so hard to find safe spaces to talk with people without things becoming a mess when the end goal was to just communicate and learn from each other. Nat really hit the nail on the head with her idea of how life is full of polarities and that it is ok because it’s a part of what makes us human. Jon this episode was so refreshing and this whole podcast is just absolutely amazing.

I worked with Jon on American Gigolo and he was kind, respectful, and professional to all the cast, crew, and fans.......when nobody was watching. You can't fake that. He is the real deal. Generous with his time....gracious. A true dude. He has the respect of the team. He earned it. God bless you Jon.

Man, I listen to podcast while I do shit at home and usually when I’m done with what I’m doing I don’t finish a podcast. With this show, I find shit to do to finish the damn episode! Such a great conversation and story. A movie based off of Natalie life and how she teaches and influences others would be dope!

This woman is absolutely a gem. Clear headed, soft spoken, true to her convictions. Thank you for being an amazing person Natalie. You are exactly the type of teacher that every child needs in their life. Thank you Jon for getting this amazing woman on the platform. I know she will do great things!!! Favorite podcast out rn and it’s not even close!!

Why are you praising her for being soft spoken? Wtf??? Why ruin an otherwise good comment? You know that's her nature right? Are you praising men for being soft spoken? Women who aren't soft spoken aren't being tough on purpose, it's how they speak naturally.

Everything about this conversation - yes, yes, and more yes!! Natalie, you make me proud to be a woman… even more proud, I should say, haha. The discourse between you and Jon had more honest, real, thoughtful, and productive content/context than anything I’ve heard in years.
Jon, please invite Natalie back on the podcast again, as a regular. Natalie, please say yes 🤞🤞

I admire how you're building this platform to give voice to experiences and share it with the world with all due respect to the people telling them. I just really wanted to say thank you for continue to share.

✌ It's me again. Gotta drop another comment on today's episode. First off, I have to say this to Ms. Natalie. I wish she was my friend even though I'm more into baseball (go Mets!), I would have loved to be around her because I too and a tomboy (trying to be more feminine) and now real shy. She has such a beautiful personality and so real unlike most teachers that I have encountered.
I loved how you all did touch on racism and how people do stereotype people who are not white European. Black, along with the Hispanic community and many other just fall under this umbrella where we can't run away from. I know for me, my racial background is something that I am ultimately terrified to tell others because of where I live and the society that is in my state, I fear for my life along with my brothers'. I just hope one day people can just accept who we are and not what we look like externally.
Bringing up sports, equality between genders (including transgender), and how to find a level playing field. I am not very deep into sports, so I can't say much. But equality and making a comfortable environment for all. It's something that we need to work on, but also try and see what is equal for everyone. A tricky moment not only in sports, but in day to day life and society.
Another great video as always, Jon. I can't wait for next week's episode. Much love and respect to you and your guests. With love, Jon! And give Bam-Bam a belly rub for me haha!

    • @sketch-mer6195
      @sketch-mer6195 Před rokem

@@ellie-tk4jy I do, but with my own physical appearances and my own personal experiences. I have tried being a little more feminine.
Don't get me wrong, I still love sports, go fishing (when it's not sweltering hot), watch action movies and rough house with my brother. But there are days where I want to be girly and be seen as a woman instead of "one of the guys."

as a nonbinary individual who has struggled with my volleyball career quite a bit, I think this goes deeper ya know seeing women as less than men stuff like that. I think trans kids struggle enough there's no reason to make it harder for them to just live, especially with the trans youth suicide rates. this was very well said on both of yall I love the way miss Natalie is so real in this, supportive and so so understanding thank you for bringing this up it is something to talk about and it is real this podcast has given me so many new points of view, I think the talk about trans individuals should be normalised. trans people are real and I've gained so much respect for all of you, thank you.

Loved this episode and learned a lot from listening to both Natalie and Jon. One thing I'd want to point out is that with the convo on trans ppl in sports, I think it would be helpful to include trans activists/leaders into this space to better explain why restrictions on trans ppl in sports is a serious issue. We are currently seeing several states making laws to basically ban trans and queer kids from living normal lives. And these laws and restrictions can easily affect cis ppl as well. I am a cis woman so I don't have all the knowledge on this but this is some of the things I've learned from trans leaders!

Jon loving the podcast! Wanted to know after seeing that Disney+ ported some of the new marvel series onto their streaming platform. Is there any news about The Punisher? Are there any talks, or anything that might give us fans a glimpse of hope that the show might come back in the near future? Re: trans folks in sports. Whenever someone implies that trans girls are going to deprive cis girls of a scholarship opportunity, what I hear is that a cis girl's opportunity has more value than a trans girl's and I know that that isn't how some people mean to sound...but that is how it sounds. Trans folks (especially trans people of colour) have traditionally fewer opportunities, have more barriers thrown up in their way...yet the concern always seems to be for the potentially lost opportunities for cisgender players. A trans person has no less value than a cis person and when you frame the conversation around what a cis person might miss out on, that's kinda the message that you send. So...just something to consider.
Much love for having the conversation at all. This was a GREAT episode in so many ways. Nat is a rockstar.

Although I'm usually hesitant about folks that say it's not always about race but they only identify with and only talk about race. However I enjoyed the episode, and having grown up in a very rugged area I gotta disagree with nearly half the points, like the convo for gender equity but only when it applies to the need for corporate female CEOs, and not to equalize the gender makeup for the draft or construction work. inclusivity is important but did y'all's convo about her hiring process touch on if it applies to everyone? Like is her football team racially equal? this almost turned into an echo chamber which is dangerous. Being from a minority group I find my liberal or progressive counterparts oftentimes to be the most racist either unknowingly or covertly and the most non inclusive folks I've worked with or come across. Some People's desire for Humanity and equity often has them push agendas that look awfully similar to the very thing they claim to fight against. Either way I Enjoy most of the convos!
