I recently started using this application on Angels that I have beaded. I use Miyuki metallic Delica beads and I wanted them to keep a nice look. I love it!!!❤ I am glad to see that someone else uses it with their beading. If I knew how to add a picture of the Angels I make, I would do that. I love your work and I get your newsletter and love the projects you send out. 😊
Thank you. I would love to see your angels. I have a Facebook group where you can share your work. Please answer the questions to join or I won’t approve you. facebook.com/groups/lisayangjewelrygroup/?ref=share_group_link
It definitely isn't a matte finish. I think it does add a bit of shine. All of the beads I used were already shiny, so I guess I didn't notice the difference - but it's definitely not a matte finish.
I love the solid finish, but it picks up some of the color from my beads :/ Do you know if theres anyway to avoid that? I might just have cheap beads lol.
Bit late to this party, but do you think if you brushed the stiffener onto a beaded flower petal, then laid the petal over a curved surface to dry, that it would work to mold that petal into a stiff shape? Could you get it to release from your "mold" as it is not glue? Thanks so much.
Yes, I think this will work, however you will have to experiment with what will make it easy for you to remove the petal from the surface. I usually work on parchment or wax paper and have not had problems with my work sticking to the surface. Good luck!
Yes. I recommend it for floppy beadwork. Although with huichol, I think you might try a more firm thread (fireline) and try tighter tension. I don't recall my huichol ever being very floppy, but I've never done very large or open pieces, both of which could cause looser beading and therefore make it floppy.
I tried Protecta clear on my beaded earrings and it took the color off the beads. I guess the beads they used to make the earrings are extraordinarily cheap! I had to paint the different beads with oil-based paint to restore them. UGH!
I found this video recently thank u so much it works great!

Thank you for the video. Does the product make the beads shiny if they are matte?

Great info, where would it be purchased from?
I buy it from Amazon. amzn.to/36CAwkj
Omg ur the best, how can I make these Mandela shape
Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for posting this video!
I recently found out that Protectaclear can melt plastic. Do you know of this melting resin?
Interesting. I haven’t worked with resin so I can’t help with that. Thanks for the info though.@bloptrouseore

Cheap beads. I hate when finishes wear off. Sealing them will make the finish last longer though!

I have seen Russian leaves placed over plastic spoon back to get them stiff in a curved shape…they dont stick ti the spoon
Would you recommend this for huichol beaded flowers? Mines are always floppy

Where did you buy it? Can you share a link of product? Thanks!
You can buy it on Amazon. Here is a link: amzn.to/3BJyYoH
Have you found that the spray is the same or specific to the painting it on
I didn’t know there was a spray. I always brush it on. I like that it doesn’t take a lot to stiffen beadwork
I'd also like to know where to purchase it from?
I buy it from Amazon. amzn.to/36CAwkj
@@LisaYangJewelry Thank you, Lisa! I found it!
Would mod podge do the same thing?
I don't think so. Mod Podge is a type of glue - and it's water-based, so it could become sticky if it gets wet.

That can happen with dyed beads. I try to avoid ones that say dyed because they will fade over time no matter what you do.
