    es tan poco frecuente escuchar estas pequeñas joyas tocadas con ese lirismo y musicalidad !! esta mujer tocaba con el alma.
    virtuosos hay muchos pero músicos de verdad nacen muy pocos.

    @crazybuslive If you have reached grade six then you have done well. The cello is not a simple instrument to learn but the sound produced is very special. This is a most beautiful piece. If it touches your heart then make it yours. Don't worry about the grades. Just learn pieces of music that you love the sound of and you will naturally progress without you realising it. Don't become stale. Best wishes Andy.

    Yes, I believe whoever composed it wanted the listeners to enjoy the music. They probably didn't want musicologists fighting about who composed it...

    That bear a weighty and a serious brow,
    Sad, high, and working, full of state and woe,
    Such noble scenes as draw the eye to flow,
    We now present.

    Ginette was born to play Chausson's Poeme. Jacquiline du Pre was born to play the Enigma Variations. Both play this work extremely well. They also both died young,.Coincidence?

  • @silvr94
    @silvr94  Před 15 lety +2

    I believe it was originally written for violin and piano. Some say the piece was written by Samuel Dushkin, others say it was Paradis and Dushkin only discovered the work. But usually Paradis gets the credit for this piece.

    • @iggyreilly2463
      @iggyreilly2463 Před 6 lety +1

      No. The original piece is by Carl Maria von Weber, a sicilienne taken from one of his violin sonatas by Dushkin, who then claimed he 'discovered' a piece by Paradis. Paradis has no connection to the piece except that Dushkin (and every other ignoramus after him) lied/lies about who wrote it.

    • @iggyreilly2463
      @iggyreilly2463 Před 7 lety +2

      This piece is not by a woman. The original is a sicilienne by Carl Maria von Weber (from one of his violin sonatas), paraphrased by the 20th century violinist Samuel Dushkin and claimed by him to have been composed by Paradis. The entire thing is a hoax at Weber's expense.
