when i tell you phantom inspires me, i mean it. and i can't say how much this group has moved me to push harder and harder in life. i love you, phantom regiment. words don't describe how much i thank you all.
This show spoke to me in a way that none other did this season. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy other shows, of course I did. But this one was special, and it speaks to the growing divide of what judges reward, versus what we wanna see. Please just keep being true to yourselves. Evolution is part of the activity, but do it with that true Phantom voice, and the audience will know what the real deal is.
LOVE the fact that you ALL left a dogtag on the field. THAT is awesome! I gotta be honest... the 2019 Phantom Regiment made me a fan. Prior to 2019, Regiment was my hot dog corps. But there was just something about this particular drum corps that resonated with me. I marched Freelancers back in the day. We were always the corps everybody TRIED to forget about but we simply wouldn't let you. No matter how many times the judges kicked us to the dirt, we just got up and came back for more... but each time, we came back a little bit tougher and a little bit more resilient. The 2019 Phantom Regiment was exactly the same. I wrote you off at the beginning of the year. I said you'd be lucky to make top 17, but damnit, you all wouldn't go away. You wouldn't die. You just kept coming back stronger. And every time you came back, I watched and listened a bit more. By Finals, I was singing your battle cry right along with you. Stay strong and come back with a fire in your bellies in 2021. You have a new fan here!
From Stillman Valley to Indy, and all the places in between: THANK YOU, Regiment, for an amazing season. This show, and the passion with which you continued to work on it, spoke to many of us this summer. We are proud of you all, and know you will go out into the world to make it a better place. Battle on!
0:58 "What did you lose on this journey?" How incredibly ironic that the video at that very point is showing Will Pitts. They lost Will Pitts after this journey... and rightfully so. He just about killed the corps.
Thank you Phantom for staying true to what drum corps means to me. Despite what the judges say, you are 1st place in my book.
you guys rock!
Drumline was Phantastic! Aahoo!

Phantom Regiment practiced at my high school! You can see it at the beginning of the video!
