it was probably the regular tenor players who hated it most, having to deal with that many people learning that instrument for the first time, and cringing their way through it.
I think it was a great idea...all of them playing quads....yes more work for the Quad Tech But we have seen everyone playing a snare over the years and am glad to see everyone playing quads for a change!
My tenor line got to try out some prototype heads for wgi during the 2018 season... they wont be on the market anytime soon after the feedback we gave them (and its a good thing they had someone test them)
@@ethangrubb8318 we only used them for about a week and a half before switching back to normal pinstripes, they felt like you were playing on a flub, and sounded like they had been muted.
You guys should start putting what sticks they use in the description. I like how Vic Firth does that with their vids. I think it'd be a good idea. 🤷🏽♂️ Innovative Percussion over Vic Firth any day. 💪🏼
I saw someone comment "In two years all the quad lines will look like this, I'm calling it," And I can't find what video he commented that on. But I've been looking for that comment for the past few minutes to tell him that he couldn't have been more wrong.
Imagine having to tune all those quads...
Frank Deleon dude i didnt even think about that and honestly... i dont even want to😂😂💀
Mad respect to Derrick Shannon for even attempting to have an entire line of quads.

This was my favorite part of their book back then. I was and still am a huge phan.
I just realized that im in the background for this
That moment when the quad tech regrets taking their job

"Hi Pearl....yea we're gonna need 15 sets of quads this year....yes, I said 15...."
"Hey, so you know how the Blue Devils did this thing last year...?"
There is nothing like this in the UK. I wish we could get you guys over. Excellent work.
you've got kidsgrove scouts and the company, maybe one or two more but i know those 2 come to the US for dci/dca stuff

Drummerboy 98 agreed
On their Instagram story, they showed a few choices for each ensemble. Regiment uses PR2s for snare sticks and Paul Rennick tenor sticks.
UltraPercussion
Yeah, I saw that. But I think it'd be more convenient for their CZcams vids. It's a good way to advertise their sticks.
100% agreed
UltraPercussion wait they use PR2’S? I thought they used BK’S?
Those 12 inch rolls 😍😍😍
1:19 Listen for it after the splits
The best sounding Quads out there
Hard agree
snazzy bass heads eh?
I can tell the tenors are pearl championship drums, are the snares the same line, or are those carbon core?
I think they are using standard championship drums to cut costs since they sound practically identical to carbon cores for hundreds of dollars less
Are they still using rennick quad sticks

I love seeing a lady on the line...awesome
Does anyone know how many snares are returning for 2019?
The whole battery is rookies

Damn, highlights on the quads? May be the best drumline this year.
akb234 no😂 it was cool but they weren’t the best line
So fucking clean
Wow what a snareline

What heads are those quads using because they sound amazing 😩💦

Whose gonna do 15 Bass Drums this year?
INov8 did 8 bass drums this year! If you haven't checked them out I recommend you do!
Grey Remo snare heads?
remo suede max
What sticks are they using?
Snares used PR-2's
Tenors used TS-PR, TS-IJ. Had to switch to PR-2's from TS-IJ because they ran out, lol.
do these kids apply?where do u find such talent?
It’s a dci corps, they play 12 hours a day over the summer, then go on tour to get the highest score they can at finals.
They have to audition and pay to march...right?
5:30 👀
Anyone happen to know if one or more of their quads aged out?
one for sure
Two
2 aged out (center and right end)
2 have 1 left (left end and left center)
1 has 4 left (right center)
Anyone know if the bass line had any ageouts this season?
Thanks!
do u over tighten?
This is a world class drumline, they know what they’re doing.
