Let’s say you buy a natural diamond of similar size for 8k. It only depreciates 20% (or that’s just the markup). You lose 1,600! More than the 50%. What you can ACTUALLY resell your diamond for ALWAYS drops. And that drop from the markup for aa natural will almost always overwhelm the difference in depreciation . With that context, the lower price upfront is easily lower risk. There is ZERO case for natural diamonds EXCEPT if it’s what the person you love wants.
