I think it's called cornflour (one word) in the UK. Do you have that? And just to clarify it isn't Corn Flour (two words) which is flour made from corn.

Merengue is made from beat up egg whites. Take some egg whites and use an electric mixer until it looks like whipped cream.

It should be “blind baked” crust
It can be blind baked if it's a typical dough, but it can also be a graham cracker crust which doesn't need blind baking
