I didn't like the justification about Rheanys not attacking the Royal family because she just killed hundreds of innocent common people hundreds of mothers and children but she won't kill another one

Maybe it’s becoming a kinslayer, plus she knows this family. While I’m sure she’s happily set fire to Otto and probably Allicent, not sure about the children esp if Helena and Aegon’s young children are there.

I wish they would've written that differently. Rhaenys was freed in the middle of the night. Just saying why didn't she go to the dragonpit at night? But maybe getting her dragon beforehand or maybe see her in King's Landing, then seeing Aegon's coronation and then a shot showing Rhaenys flying on Meleys or something. Just not that stupid confrontation in the dragonpit where she kills hundreds of people but doesn't kill the greens because she doesn't want to start the war.
      Just my opinion

Like..here is my issue. The showrunner could have had Meleys and Rhaenys spring up through the ground like that. They ALREADY HAD THE CUTS IN FOR THE DOOR SHUTTING SLOWLY!!! Why not make the choice for Rhaenys be between taking the time to roast them all and escaping. That would have made infinitely more sense than @5:40 "She weighed a massive civil war in one hand, and killing a monstrous woman and her pedophile son (book reference) on the other...and chose the monstrous woman and her monstrous kids?"
I'd accept "She decided to flee to save herself, Meleys, and to inform Rhaenyra. Rather than to stay there and get trapped inside until the guards eventually kill her and Meleys." *THAT* would have made more sense and was so close to being the case. Smh. Big ole fail on that one. I'm admittedly sour because I stan Rhaenys pretty hard.

she cant be trap, what are you saying? she can easily burn the whole place and make an easy escape. the question is why the writer make that scene, having rhaenys the chance to kill them so so much easy but no to choose to.

    • @rohitkumar-dc3xb

Because Till now none of the side has done anything wrong. Maybe She respect his brother and his choices, also want a women to sit on throne( for her personal satisfaction) therefore she support rhaenyra.
Also she has no reason to kill his brother family. If she has to kill somebody for personal revenge, then she will kill rhaenyra as everyone believes rhaenyra and daemon kills laenor.

@@yudyin1789 1. That building is made of a great deal of thick stone. Did you see how thick those doors were? The ones that were barely being moved by like 40 grown men? Yeah those. Meleys may have gotten through the "Boards" but she wasn't getting through the dome, door, or walls. Meleys isn't Vhagar. Not all dragons can raze entire cities or explode buildings...Also, its never a good idea to destroy a building from the inside.
So, yeah, she can definitely be trapped, my guy. Thats the entire concept behind the dragonpit is to trap dragons. But yeah your final sentence is just kind of asking the same thing as me tbh. "Why did the writers do this?"
You're saying they shouldnt have done it at all. Well yeah. duh. that'd be awesome! But I offered a solution that allows everything to happen exactly as it did with just a few shifts in editing and wording and they would have answered the question plausibly as to why she didnt kill them.
So...Idk if you didnt read mine or what.

@@citizen_wayne I have watch the show and even read the book , so i know what aegon and aemond are going to do with her in future.
I am just saying currently she had more reasons to kill rhaenrya than aegon.
As her grandchildren are bastards and rhaenyra kill her son, while aegon till now had not done anything bad to her.
Still she chooses rhaenyra side to keep her house velaryon words true, which makes sense.
But What does not make sense, showrunners kill 100 of people for a illogical cool shot, as she had no reason to kill aegon.

Well the scene she wrote with Meleys bursting up from the floor was absolutely terrible. GRRM would never have written something like that because it doesn't make sense.
She could have ended the war before it started, she's now one of the most evil characters in the whole show having killed loads of innocent people and how did she not die bursting up out of stone?
It was season 8 quality I tell thee. I don't know if Hess is woke but she can't write for shit that's for sure, like almost all modern showrunners. People should tell them NO.
