    Hey Dr. Oz, In nursing school I was taught, A, D, E, & K are the oil-soluble vitamins as opposed to the others which are water-soluable. The oil-solubles can be dangerous if taken in excess. I understand it's rare and you'd have to take much more than a couple thousand IU, but still, really not so safe as you make it seem. Please tell your audience to be cautious with vitamin D3 and always talk to your doctor first--even if it's only a vitamin. Love you and thank you for sharing your gift of knowledge with the world. : ) Be Well.

  • @amberthorpe4383

    I have a question about turmeric and cucurmin. I have heard that it is VERY hard for turmeric to absorb in the body since our bodies are made up of mainly water. With that being said, I have read that turmeric alone can not absorb without curcumin. I have heard it absorbs better with ginger root and black pepper in it. Is there truth to this? I recently was introduced to this product called Vidafy Curcumin Plus. This product helps with so many things, but mainly inflammation in our bodies. I have been advised to take 10 drops a day 5 in morning and 5 in the evening. It has vitamin C, Vitamin D, ginger, and polysorbate 80 in it to help our bodies absorb it more. Is this anything that anyone has heard about? I have heard it is liquid gold and has improved so many people's life - pain free!

      @@RA-ik9un Hi! 😃 Thanks for your reply! I agree with you because I have already done what your son did 😁 I eat a vegan and plant-based diet (it's my lifestyle) for many years now. I have anaphylactic allergies to all fish and shellfish, so I never eat any of it - plus I hate seafood lol. Changing my food intake to be plant-based vegan is what helped me the most of YEARS of going to doctors, dermatologists and skin specialists and they weren't very helpful tbh. I also live a very healthy lifestyle: I don't drink, smoke or do any drugs. I limit eating out and processed food (because all of that causes inflammation in your body which is not helpful when you have an inflammatory skin condition such as eczema). I also limit my sugar intake (again causes inflammation and other diseases too). It's very easy to do because I make 99% of the food I eat - so it's healthier and safer (I have food allergies too).
      Once your son makes it a lifestyle, he'll be fine! 😄 I understand it's hard to eat in a disciplined manner continuously. I've had to deal with this since childhood - so, I know the pain.
      Anyway, have a great day! All the best to you and your son.

      @mangoesnbreadfruit01 Před 2 lety +1

      @@acmcle6860 I am gluten free too 😃 I noticed the same thing when eating gluten too. I'm also vegan and focus eating healthy (you can still be an unhealthy vegan by eating lots of processed foods and junk foods...). Removing dairy was also huge because dairy causes massive inflammation in the body and eczema is an inflammatory condition. So, when you decrease the inflammatory foods you eat it directly impacts the severity of your eczema. That's what I noticed for myself. I also don't drink or smoke at all (I'm allergic to cigarette smoke) and those two things ruin your overall health, but also sends eczema into massive flare-ups.... because those things are inflammatory.

    We took our 19 yr old to a functional med doc like Hyman. She is lean, exercises, is smart, eats clean (b/c we all do) but has focus issues and anxiety that stops her from living well. Found out she has some genetic variants that impact IL6 (she swells from a mosquito bite), methylation MTHFR, COMT which drives the anxiety and a few more issues. She also has a celiac gene (so it was good we don’t eat wheat), had leaky gut and H Pylori. She would have had a horrible time with covid. She even overstimulated to the vaccines. So don’t be smug, people. Find out more about your health and your ability to fight illness instead of assuming you are better than others. It’s what you don’t know that will hurt you.

      I'm no nurse nor a doctor but read that Keto Diet isn't everything you need. Keto doesn't invite fruits as I understand it. There is a little harm in this type of diet. Our body do need natural sugar like eating fruits which is okay. Regular portion daily. I once went on a diet, no fruits until much much later. By the time I reach 6 weeks of no sugar of any kind, no fruits just vegs, dairy, meats (be careful), etc. I didn't feel right but couldn't put my finger on until sooner than I expected, the word came to me, my mind as if my body was trying to tell me something. FRUITS!!! I thought really? Fruits? I didn't get sick, my body was sensing something was missing. I ate strawberries and immediately felt good. My body felt relax. Strawberry and other fruits cannot get you to gain weight. It's the portion of how much you are allow or should eat. I have Keto cookbooks that I like using their recipes but I won't go on a Keto Diet. It isn't for everyone. If you can simply stop eating natural sugar and feel fine in a long run, so be it. Your body do speak, listen.

    so this sounds like i was exposed to covid without the respiratory issues. my body suddenly exploded last august with inflammatory issues and it’s run throughout my entire body, muscles joints tendons ligaments and organs and nerves. I was literally fine one day and not the next. it’s been about 14 months now and my body is still under attack even though i was already mostly plant based and eating lots of anti inflammatory foods. I’ve now on an elimination diet since january but only seems to be helping so much. something had caused me to have sudden malabsorption also. I dropped 30-35lbs over 4-5 months without loss of appetite. no fever, vomiting or diarrhea. I’ve beem saying from the beginning this has to be related to covid. I was active and fit and working out now I can’t even do two pushups without feeling like my bones will break! 😞 I was deficient in vitamin D in 2019 so began supplementing. level of 15 and it was around 53 when all my symptoms started. my levels are now just over 100 but still having tons of inflammation that i never had before!
