WHAT A SET- This is music.
I love Dizzy
Nice to see footage of the underrated pianist Junior Mance. Polished and bluesy!
We are lucky to have footage such as this one of Diz and some fine company.
Junior Mance est excellent. quel délicieux jeu bluesy!
A tip of the hat to the audio crew on this one wherever it was. Well balanced and clean as a whistle and it’s 1960. I’ve heard tons of television shots from the 70s 80s and even later that couldn’t hold a candle to this audio wise. And Dizzy is still getting a really full and beautiful sound at this point.
One of the best Dizzy videos I've ever seen. The group and choice of tunes were all superb.
I think the best one is "Dizzy Gillespie Quintet Jazz Casual" in '64 with Lalo Shifrin.
The hat is a plus also.
@@robertellison4691 tis yes !
2 plusses. Thanks. @@robertellison4691

Even if you play with Dizzy you still think when the show will be over. check the piano player at 14:08.
And then.... Hadn't Dizz one of the most jazzy ,funky, grooviest voices of ..... ? So right and also sway like no one today in what they do nowadays call sway.... XXx them.
Terrific footage! Nice group and a really nice set of tunes.
Wonderful!
Art Davis getting it done on bass
Teddy Stewart plays the right amount; not too little and not too much.
Oooohh so tasty 🎺🥇I got the Lorraine version with superb guitarist Les Spann 1959🎸
Teddy Stewart-Just great! Why wasn’t he heard more of?
Yeah , aaaahm drugs ? Or not ?
When songs had an end.
There was an awkward cut on the bass solo of "Tour de Force" 05:04.
Dizzy would never come in wrong like this.
sweet quotes on the flute solo, #2 track
Djeezus that Leo Wright on the dwarsflute !
Just Top of the line!

Дужэ смачно!!!
Does anybody know the name of the very first tune they play during the introduction. I've been racking my brain try and identify it but to no avail
Tour De Force
+Brandon Rodriguez They're playing their version of Saint Louis Blues.
+Connie Bryson No, they're not! It's called "St. Louis Blues" composed by W.C, Handy.
St.Louis Woman is a musical by Harold Arlen and has nothing to do with this song.
Jaz
