I love how recognizable all these characters are even with their alt modes being vehicles instead of beasts. A lot of thought really went into these designs
Yeah these designs are amazing. If this was higher resolution people would appreciate it more. My fav touch was the motorcycle wheel on the back of Tarantulas.

It technically is the second generation be cause if I understand correctly the cartoon titled as second generation is just a re edited version of the original. Not parallel dimensions or any0thing. Just a rerun with new edits. So since beast wars is an entirely new chapter it should count as the second gen of transformerz

At this point it’s hard not to after hearing David Kaye’s version of Megs voicing his iconic “Yesss…” so many times.
I love this. Little did we know what insanity would transpire from this event. I love the nostalgic quality of this too
I would even say it's a pilot to the series. I watched it as a little kid, and I still watch it the day when I'm bored, especially with my boyfriend. And the thing is, the rise of the beast is good at be good with them in it.

Who would Think that It was Cryotech's Idea for (BW) Megatron to stole the Golden Disk so he could Give the Disk to Cryotech and Cryotech himself would betray Megatron,but as in an Old Decepticons saying "never trust a Decepticons" or in there case "never trust a Predacon".
To me had the Beast wars IDW comics been made into a cartoon series and if Cyotech got used I could've seen Ralph fiennes or Phil morris for the role

In the Beast Wars continuity, the golden disk literally is the one from the Voyager probe. This is explicitly stated in the series. In Season 1 we're told Megatron stole the disk because it would lead him to a location with vast reserves of energon. In Season 2 we find out the original G1 Megatron encoded a secret message on the Voyager disk and BW Megatron knew about the message and that the disk would lead him to prehistoric Earth where he might be able to alter the course of history, although he didn't know it was Earth for certain until after the Vok's second moon was destroyed in the Season 1 finale.

That explains why it wasn't shown in the TV Series ("Beast Wars") 3 Year Run and I suppose if i were to watch the series on DVD
that not be one of the Bonuses on DVD's + the Larger Background of how Megatron namesake found the Golden Disk and eventually put together a Crew and ship and the Maximals wound find them and they both go back in time ( I tend to think of the Shooting between the 2 Ships somewhat similar to G1 Battle both Crash Land on the Planet (Difference both are not in Stasis Computer Scans the Planet for Lifeforms both either Extinct or Not Hense Dinobot and Megatron T-Rex Form).

Correct me if I’m wrong but.. The reason why Megatron stole the golden disc is because contains images from Earth’s future.. He was willing to destroy the humans so that the Decepticons defeat the Autobots since they were helping them lead them to victory.

Remake beast wars. New arc and story that nods to the original with a new toy line and war for cybertron esq game to tie it all together. The original storyline would fit the fall of cybertron play-style so well (as in each character gets a level unique to their ability and beast mode). Obviously dinobots sacrifice would be incredible to play through. Be sweet if they worked in a way to save him if you do well enough on the mission but if you let him die off, it could unlock a trophy called Code of a Hero

@@evoricer2649 From what I remember, this was commission for an event so it doesn't have huge production value, but the event was endorsed by Hasbro so this stuff is considered official. Could be wrong tho, been ages since I've heard about this

Actually...if you look closely at the golden disc...it’s the same as the golden record NASA put on Voyager 1. So, how is it they are the same...and yet different?
@@duanejohn62 actually the show only shows G1 Megatron inscribing on the disc in space...still attached to the probe. Seeing as Voyager 1 was launched before the Transformers awoke in 1984...it makes no sense why Megatron would chose that as his medium.

Essentially, it IS that disk. It wasn't revealed until much later in Beast Wars since the world they went to was largely unknown. Megatron knew but it wasn't confirmed until the aliens who added the 2nd moon tried to wipe out the planet.

yeah but if it is real, why are there different characters from different toy lines? for instance, Megatron is a cybertron defense red alert, dinobot is a hoist from the armada series, waspinator is a cybertron thundercracker, and a tf1 scout class air raid, and a half-dozen others I can identify.

Not a car, but it's a Cybertronian excavator. The BotCon toy of Dinobot is a redeco of Cybertron Longrack with Armada Hoist's head. The Longrack toy itself is a retool of Armada Hoist, as if that wasn't obvious enough.

They never call him by name. He likely adopted Dinobot after going to the planet if you wanted try sort out how could possibly fit in canon.

Why do they have vehicle modes here? And how did they lose them after landing on Earth?
Cause in the first episode after they crash they take on the biology of the organic life to adapt to surviving on the planet. If I remember correctly going into beastmode allowed them to use their organic components to store and create energy from which to use their transformed mode. That's why they always spent their time before entering a fight in that mode. They wouldn't have survived on the planet with no power source....their ships had power problems all the time during the series, so the ship power wouldn't have been able to sustain them on its own. They used the ships medical power to heal themselves when needed tho.
But what happened to their vehicle modes? When they first land on Earth before they scan for beast modes we see them as plain robots with no other modes. Were they deleted? If so, is it easier to purge inorganic than organic info from their bodies, as Megatron had a hard time doing the latter in Beast Machines?
Dragblacker Well when you scan a new form, it overwrites the old/previous form you transformed into. That’s how it works in Transformers lol. Plus Beast Wars was made well before this video was made.

It was actually because there was too much energon present on the planet.
Too much energon on earth. They stated in episode by the predacon computer. There is to much energon alternate forms needed to protect them. Their vehicle forms were not protected enough. When they some of them became transmetals they regained some of their old abilities. Ratraps car mode, cheetor and Megatron flight for example.
You know, I never understood why they have to say “terrorize!” When they transform. Not exactly stealthy

I have no idea what's going on with this show. I really don't. The pacing is weird, the dialogue is weird, and the animation is jacked up.
This isn’t actually from the cartoon. This was a fan film I think. The Cyrotek voice actor isn’t actually a voice actor, he sells 3D printed parts for stuff.
Is this beast wars mssin impossible, or poorly animated transformers James bond, I can't tell.
