Yay something to distract me from everything. I'm currently in hospital after a suicide attempt. I have depression, anxiety, PTSD, anorexia and bulimia and your videos give me a really nice space to escape to. I'm missing all my books that are still at home, I'm only allowed a few at a time and it's very sad I just wanna stroke all my books :(

I’ve been enthralled with a reread of Percy Jackson, and while I haven’t read it quite as fast as normal, I remember everything that made me love the books so desperately 10 years ago (it’s crazy to look back and realize how long it’s been since your first read of a book.)
Nothing like watching other ppl read while I should be reading instead 😂

I completely agree with you that writers need to write more about students in class setting, that would be great. Moreover, authors can take inspiration from history or supernatural shows while writing such scenes.

one of my favorite things about your vlogs is that even on your off days, you find little ways to be productive. something i struggle with on my low mental health days is remembering that there isn’t a “too late” and that i can still find ways to make the most of what’s left of the day. it’s just a rly cool thing that i always notice when i watch these 💕

Jane the Virgin is such a good show. And it's driving me absolutely crazy. Lol. I fell behind for a couple of seasons so I marathoned it and the change from being able to watch several eps in a day to going week by week is brutal. I feel like the ending is obvious and I really enjoy the way they're getting there, but I also want it NOW!

Omg I’m so happy you loved With The Fire On High! I felt the exact same way for that book. I gave it all the stars and I cannot stop raving about it. What I love most is that it has all these diverse perspectives and it flows so perfectly. Like none of it feels out of place. I also love Emoni’s passion for cooking especially since I want more books that have to do with cooking. If you want another book that has to do with a passion of cooking, I recommend The Art of French Kissing by Brianna R. Shrum! It’s one of my favorites of this year and it may not be as culturally diverse but it’s really fun and everyone is passionate about food!

Also have you read the Fearsome Dreamer duology?? It is a fantasy/dystopian about Virtual Reality(and people getting so obsessed with it they lose their minds), a super power some people have, it has THE MOST UNSEEN AND AMAZING plot twist at the end, and it’s just generally really good!

I just finished With The Fire On High based on your recommendation when I saw you in The Strand, for the Nexus Book Release. I listened to it in audiobook. I was blown away on how much I loved it. I really loved the recipes aspects of the story. I could actually visualize the specific knife cuts and cookware mentioned. along with the spices and ingredients. This was an experience I have wanted from a book that I have never gotten before.
The things I hated was how she didn't take her Chef's (Culinary Instructors) Advice to learn the technique and hone her craft. I as a Culinary graduate from college had become frustrated with Emoni. But I must say this novel I daresay is my favorite of the year so far.
I need to get this book for my own personal library.

I´m also currently reading Ghosts of the Shadowmarket! Not at the beach though, I´m jealous :D I haven`t read much of it yet, I`m only in the middle of story two but so far it´s great! First story was great it was so nice to meet some of the characters from the Infernal Devices again!
