    My spider plant has exactly the same brown tips. I have mine for years and it's quite big so I did not expect it but I am going to get a closer look at it right after I finish watching your video :) This is the first video I see from you, love your personality 😋

    The spider plants are perfect for hanging. They look great in hippie style macrame' hangers. (jute with wood beads) Since you are in California you could hang them outside. Guess I'll have to get a spider plant. -When I was a teenager I planted baby spiders and aloe pups in styrofoam cups and donated them to the school carnival to sell. -Your home is so beautiful !!! I like the gorgeous wood floors and the glass windows & doors.

    The roots of my spider plant are out of the pot like crazy! I might even need to cut the pot to repot it. I'm afraid to cut so many roots ;c
    This is the first time I'm taking care of plants, and the spider plant is driving me a bit crazy with the brown tips, but now I know why! Thanks!

    I hear that you are supposed to use distilled water on plants not tap water unless you leave it out.

    • @rosettagrows3315
      @rosettagrows3315  Před 3 lety +2

      That is true for a lot of plants, yes. It depends on your tap water, of course, because that can vary by region, but some plants are more sensitive than others.

      Hi! I'm so sorry to hear about your spider plants. Have you taken a look at their roots? If you have had them for a couple years they are likely ready for a new pot - or some new soil at the least.

    My spider plant has browning spots in the middle almost like a bruise . I got it as a gift and I checked the roots and it was pretty root bound so I repotted it but it's still getting those bruise like spots. What should I do?

    • @rosettagrows3315

      Perla Ramirez it could be a bacterial issue or fungal issue. If you have a garden center nearby you can take a piece in and show it to them. They might be able to recommend a fungicide or anti bacterial spray.

    I hate my spider plant. I've never had any luck with them. They always end up looking awful. They brown, they wilt, they go stringy. They go waxy. They die of thirst, then drown when you water them. I just hate them. Plus the cat is obsessed with them and with chew it to a stump within minutes.

    My understanding is that you would need an unrealistic number of plants in an indoor space to effectively clean the air with them. The NASA studies weren't indicative of real life situations.
