The year was 2014.. It was a warm summer school night my Junior year of highschool. I had just recruited Donnel and a Risen map had appeared at Regna Ferox on the Overworld map. I started the map.. The faint cheer of the crowds.. The beat of the bongos followed by the strings in the background and the looped melody of the flute.. Emotions of melancholy and a warm feeling of solace swept me away instantly.. In a world destitute of peace with an impending doom, a harmonic tranquility among the chaos is what this song represents Even though things in life have changed drastically since then, I will always remember that moment in time forever ingrained in my memory when I first heard this song play. Much simpler times.. Awakening my beloved..
I feel like Awakening is by far the coziest FE game. Maybe I'm just nostalgic for it. But I find myself feeling much more calmed by Awakening's ambiance than say, Three Houses'.
While I'm sitting and waiting on download batches, I wanted to say thank you. Nintendo's doing its best to see all of this lost to the ages, and so I've been meaning to download the OST. Now, I'm doing that thanks to your uploads. You've kept a piece of digital history alive.
Melee may have been the first time I've heard of Fire Emblem due to Marth and Roy, but this was my first game I've played and completed. And I'm glad this was my first - this was and is an awesome game and soundtrack.
My brother picked up this game all those years ago and due to sharing a 3DS, I snuck a whole playthrough of this game on my own time as a kid. Had the bad habit of trying to kill all the Risen, so this song is stuck in my brain a good bit compared to the rest of the Fire Emblem OSTs.
Fun Fact: Fire Emblem Awakening was the first original Fire Emblem game that was released on both Nintendo 3DS and on the Nintendo DS brand of consoles overall. Note that Fire Emblem Awakening wasn't released of Nintendo DS, but it was released on Nintendo 3DS, which is a direct "sequel" system to the Nintendo DS.
This is untrue. Fire Emblem: Awakening was solely released for the 3DS line. There is 0 evidence that any version of Fire Emblem: Awakening exists on the DS line. Where did you get this lie from?

This means that Fire Emblem Awakening was the first brand new game to be released on the Nintendo DS brand of consoles overall, because Nintendo 3DS does count as a Nintendo DS BRAND console, the same Game Boy Advance counts as a Game Boy BRAND console and Wii U counts as a Wii BRAND console. I'll edit the comment to wording it better and will think better of wording next time as well.
Always been one of my favorite tracks from awakening, made grinding more enjoyable. I miss awakening a little bit 😢 shame this track wasnt used more.
