- When I planted an in-vitro carpet plant, Hemianthus Callitrichoides, in a lunch box with the soil, I never expected to have a farm of them within a few months. Now, I'm not sure what to do with all this HC Cuba.

My mum gets her yoghurt from a local farm which sells home made yoghurt in plastic tubs. I get these tubs from my mum and propagate carpeting plants in those. Growing plants in tubs is awesome! They just get day/sun light. May not grow as fast as yours but I get a lot of daylight due to large windows both sides of my apartment.

I was like meh, because i am lazy person, until i saw roots you got on them. This is totally way to go for me, because they have always so small roots, when you buy them and planting isnt easy. These will also be stronger against algae at beginning. Thanks
Yes I tried to plant them into one of my tank and the deference is huge - planting is easy and plants growing much faster compared to invitro plants.
You can add some springtails to fight against molds

I have a freshly started ugf box, and I not sure, is this flow that I have right now is exactly right for this setup

The plants growing in tub will have the same leaves as if they were growing up submerged? People said the leaves are different and when you put them back from tub to water, the leaves will "melt" and need to wait for the "submerged leaves" tol grow back.

I would do another way around reuse your old soil from your shrimp tank, just dry it first and then add some compost to add nutrients and you good to go.
do you think this same method will work with tissue cultures of flame and spikey moss? I'm not sure how well these mosses grow immersed..
The mosses don't need substrate to grow so they can't get nutrients from it. I saw some people spray them with some fertilizer mix to supply some nutrients for them, I guess that's how it works.

You can try, it should work
I kept a few Monte carlo in a pot with aqua soil, and it filled the whole box in 1 year
What is your ambient temperature? Mine was 32, tropical humidity, and I still fail to grow it
Room temperature 21-23C
I always encounter mould during dry starts, how did you get away with that?
This was my first terrestrial grow and I didn't even know you can have issues with the mold, I guess I was lucky

Nope I didn't
In all videos work, to me all time mold in them, then all rot out... :/
Maybe I'm just lucky but I never experienced mold issues
What happens when the soil loses all its buffering capacity in the tank? How are you going to replace the soil with carpeting plants in it?
Normally you can add some fertilisers into the tank to feed your plans
Aquasoil buffers for like 2-3 years
ADA Amazonia should not lose the buffering for at least a year!
