Conrad recorded this audio from inside the Egg of the Gobbledy Gooker.
He did?
Damn Conrad leave the Pringle’s alone until the show is over! 😂
He checked out the second Bruce got rehired at the E.
Rschr101 At least he somewhat tries on this show. He’s totally given up on WHW.
I don’t agree with that. Whw is funny as hell and they do watch alongs so not much research to be done when doing that.

Biggest years of Austin's career and Conrad mailed it in on this one. The research has been lacking or outright incorrect lately on both this show and 83 Weeks.
I don't think I've ever heard Conrad so uninterested and hearing him keep saying let's move on
It's not associated with Ric Flair.
The shows in general have been lacking for a while now in my opinion in large part because of Conrad's obvious lack of energy. 3 (soon to be 4 with JR) weekly podcasts all individually in excess of 2 hours in length is just too much for a single person.
@@switchbuckle5th suprising his lack of energy with how well he keeps himself in shape.
@@switchbuckle5th it's no secret that Bruce hasn't cared about the show since he's gotten his dream job back. But if your a fan of bruce, you should be happy for him nonetheless because it's what he's always wanted and we have 150 episodes of archives to listen to.
@@switchbuckle5th Who the fuck wants to set there for 2 to 3 hours anyway, one hour is good enough. And it hasn't been lacking in the last 3 weeks.
I agree Conrads lack of motivation is getting annoying.
But The last 3 episodes have been great. This episode this week, they are discussing Stone Cold Steve Austin 98-99, the greatest era in pro wrestling and last week was Micheal Hayes that was a great episode. BRUCE & CONRAD started off doing one hour in the beginning, all of sudden people are complaining...not you specifically...I think people are just negative and want to find shit to complain about because Bruce is back home and working with WWE and they want to jump on the bandwagon of negativity...I don't want hear a show for 2 to 3 hours anyway, one hour is good enough, like every another podcast.
I've been enjoying it in the last 3 weeks.... no different from when they started. The show gets annoying because of Conrads heavy breathing and always moving on to the next topic. Plus There is other great podcasts, like 83weeks with Eric Bischoff, and conrad & Tony Schiavony on the their podcast "What happened When" Conrad is becoming repeitive.
Connie hittin the chips pretty hard here

The greatest of all time.
Yup, he is the greatest, still the biggest pro wrestling draw ever, there is not one pro wrestler that has out drew Stone Cold. He is the greatest in pro wrestling of his era.
Oh hell yeah

Greatest of all time, Oh hell yeah!
Kinda disappointing that conrad just kinda glossed over the April 6 98 moment when austin came out in a suit. That was a memorable segment.
You werent even born yet...
@@Nicholaus13 I was 12, smartass. Any other stupid comments?
@@TheBrister It was not meant to be a smart ass comment. You werent born.
There's so many to chose from but that is one of my favourite segments of all time.
I wish 98-99 could have lasted forever, but without my favorite wrestler Shawn Michaels getting his back injury that took him out as a competitor for a long time. I would have loved to see that era of Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock. That's the one opponent I don't think he ever had a match with. Many people wanted to see him return to face AJ styles. Even now, based on entertainment value, I think HBK vs. The Rock could be a compelling storyline and a great match.
And Stone Cold neck also shorted his career for only a few more years. I feel if he didn't injure his neck, he would have keep on going until probably 2010 or 2011) IDK but I feel he would have had another 10 years after 1999.
@@junegiovanni6475 It's ashame how an injury in pro wrestling can affect someone permanently. However, don't you think that fans would have grown tired of Austin if his wrestling career made it to 2009? I think the Undertaker lasted so long because he became a special attraction. It's exciting to see the Undertaker return when you haven't seen him for so long. I think people would have gotten tired of Austin like they got tired of Cena, Hogan, and others. Stone Cold had the right character at the right time, but that same character would be a heel in the 80s and early 90s. Society was changing where it became cool to cheer a bad ass heel, and white bread babyfaces became corny and cheesy. When Shawn Michaels had his first run as the world champion, people saw through his manufactured babyface ways. It was too 1986 rather than 1996. When the Rock was Rocky Maivia, people resented him for being a tired gimmick. Fast forward to 2015 and ya got the same thing with Roman Reigns. Fans wanted rawness and attitude, and were sick of having their intelligence insulted. I believe it's all about being relevant with society and with the times. Pro wrestling these days is a niche product. In the attitude era, it was pop culture. Wow I actually just wrote all that. Guess I was thinking out loud lol I sound like such a mark and don't watch WWE religiously liked I used to. Once HBK retired, I eventually lost interest in the product. I'm trying to get back into it, but it's been hard.
Rock pretty much refused to ever work with Shawn, when he had any say. Apparently, Shawn had been a real dick towards Rock's mom in earlier days. Exceptional in-ring talent, but not a quality human being.
I wonder what would’ve happened with HBK after wrestlemania had he not been hurt ? Don’t forget about degeneration-x and what they became WHEN Shawn got hurt and how that elevated triple h. Lots of what if’s
Henrik Schmidt Allegedly, HBK had spoken disrespectfully of The Rock's grandmother, who was a promoter herself. Seems like Rock never forgot or forgave those comments.
98 was probably the hottest year in pro wrestling.
And 2000
1998 was the hottest year for wrestling but WWE's hottest year was 2000
and 2001 was the end
Who would you guys give the nod to as far as the hottest star in the buisness in 98? Goldberg or Austin?
And Sting 97 vs Rock 99?
“Betcha can’t just have one!” 🥔
Maybe try not to rattle candy around next time.
J P sounds like he’s trying to eat a chain from a plastic bag in the wind
So sad that he couldn't fucking set aside LESS THAN AN HOUR AND A HALF to devote to a massively important time in WWE history for the fans without stuffing his face, and then couldn't be bothered to make sure his mic was right, or that he wasn't rushing/disinterested through the motherfcking topic.

This was the greatest time to be a wrestling fan. I’m so glad that I got a chance to experience it. I was too young for the Hogan era (I watched all old the pay per view tapes as a kid) so I can’t compare but the Stone Cold era was an amazing time to be a fan. Nothing can compare to the excitement of watching Raw every week. I remember literally thinking about the next episode of Raw from Tuesday morning until the next Monday. It was so gd good, even the scrub wrestlers like Gangrel and Val Venis were fun to watch.
Much like Stone Cold, I'll be drinking an alcoholic beverage while listening to the podcast. Try it, you'll be glad you did.

They seem to be (literally) phoning it in lately. What with Bruce's new gig its probably not a bad idea to take a hiatus. When Bruce gets fired again in a few months they can bring it back with some new energy. Still love it but you can get too much of a good thing (see Wrestlemania)
Conrad seems more interested in finishing his bag of potato chips than doing this episode
Felt very rushed, lacked enthusiasm and forwarded past parts of Austins 98/99 not one of the better episodes
They're both Rock marks. Shame cuz Austin is the only reason people still talk about wrestling. Other than Hogan, Austin is the biggest name. There would be no Rock without Stone Cold.
Rschr101 I honestly think that Austin / rock were at the same level. They BOTH needed each other and they both achieved a lot and are 2 of the most popular professional wrestlers ever. To say the rock needed stone cold isn’t true in my opinion.
Stone Cold is the GOAT imo followed closely by The Undertaker
Mikey P chat me up sexy 😘😘😘
@@Rschr101 SC didn't get there by himself either the NWO explosion paved the way for the run he would eventually have. That's what the point of the MNW was especially in 1998-2000 a ton of new stars emerged following the NWO, it's just that 2 of the 3 biggest (Goldberg being the other) were with the WWE with ended up being the deciding factor in them winning in the end.
It's about time for a wrestling museum. There is so much that can go into it- costumes, props, belts, different eras, scripts, Austin's vehicles, from across the years. Bet it would be a money spinner.
Did Conrad eat a can of cream cheese during this podcast?
1:11:30 the voice in the background is actually the mother of the ghost boy in Three Men and a Baby
That's pretty cool Mike! I remember hearing about that when I was in school and then trying to go watch it and see if I can see the little boy in the window. I think that's where they said the ghost is is in the window correct me if I'm wrong?
It was a cardboard display in the window, not a ghost...ffs.
I thought my apartment was haunted while listening to this podcast.. With all the background noise I thought spirits, demons and witches were shuffling around my apartment.. Then I realized the noise is coming from the damn podcast...
His first champ feud against dude love was incredible
Conrad sounds like he's yawning in certain spots.....like he didn't have enough sleep the night before....:)
Wow. Never heard Conrad so checked-out of an episode.
Nice to hear this insight I’ve never noticed the money flying out of Tyson’s suit 😂😂😂
Watch the home video of king of the ring 98. The crowd was PISSED when Austin lost. Wish Bruce would've talked more about the decision to give Kane the title for one night. Doesn't make sense.
It was to get a rating the next night on Raw by having Austin win the title back.
They were getting ratings anyway. Did the rating really pop that much when they made Kane champ for 24 hours? I don't think it did
Hey you asked, I'm telling you why. WHether it popped or not, the reason Kane won the title was to get a rating on RAW for the rematch the next night. Very well known, Austin has said it numerous times on his podcasts that is why.
It was also to set Austin and The Undertaker on the Highway To Hell to SummerSlam and start the Are The Undertaker and Kane in cahoots? angle
Mikey P chat me up gorgeous 😘😘😘
That a roll of quarters in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Ease up on the background noise/rustling, but great show
Am I the only 1 who think Conrad didn't want 2 be here and it really shows smh and this is a episode I was looking forward 2 and it sucks
Bruce busy back on WWE schedule and Conrad busy prepping Starrcast II?
Around 50:00 Bruce mentioned the blue strap belt may have been getting repaired, I believe it, you ever actually watch how Stone Cold treated that championship belt, he throws it down with force...and he isn't the only one who's hard on the belts over time...Awesome episode you guys even with some of the technical difficulties that sounded like a crunching breathing chip bag.
My 2 favorite years in WWF history are 1997 and 1998. Basically the slow build and rise to what we know as the attitude era.
Conrad will question and say that the undertaker putting Stonecold on the symbol and raise him in the air is a bad idea. But he never questioned himself whether or not eating 15 plates of nachos is a good idea or not.
The way that Austin was handled by WCW epitomises why they eventually folded. Would the WWE be the force it is now if Austin had never been released by WCW?
Ceno Bite the rock was a star before Austin getting hurt he was getting major heat from the nation of domination. I think a better argument would be for triple h

SHAKAKAAAHHHNNN
Conrad on the April 6th 1998 Raw With Austin in the suit and tie "and some shenanigans happened" seriously talk about just glossing over a classic segment!
I miss that old WWF booking where things ended at WrestleMania. Maybe down the line you revisit that feud but it ended for the time at WrestleMania.
Should've been a triple threat with Foley at Mania 15. Cool they let Mick get in there at the end, but he deserved a spot in that match. Not just for what he did at King of the Ring 98, but also nearly getting murdered by Rocky at Rumble 99. Foley is lucky to be alive after those chairshots.
The comments about Conrad's (lack of) enthusiasm, the echo/breathing in the background, and whether Conrad was eating/playing poker/Chaturbate are better than this show, and I enjoyed this show.

Damn Conrad, your heavy breathing is intense, should we be worried?
I would respectfully say yes, he is over weight and weighs over 300lbs, and is a big man, he needs to check his heart and needs a check up, the breathing hard is very concerning. Usually over weight men who breath like that will end up having heart attacks... I sure hope not, Conrad is a great man, so I'm worried. I pray he gets a check up.
@@junegiovanni6475 I pray he gets in a gym and starts eating right. That'll do a lot more in the long run than a general checkup will.
The guy is easily over 300 pounds. Heavy breathing or no heavy breathing if you like Conrad you should be worried. That kind of weight is very unhealthy, especially at his age.
@Robert Johnson the truth can be brutal.
Anybody who says “Austin was a crybaby about picking who he worked with!” They weren’t watching these years live and don’t realize how much money austin made the wwf and he’s still 25 years later (life sentence lol) selling merchandise as a top 3 leader along with his podcast that because of his respect, he gets good podcast wi TV honest answer except for that one weird Ambrose episode that Ambrose was either really nervous or just trying to be a tough guy. Meanwhile, Ambrose grew up tough he claims and I’m sure it’s true because we all have something tough, rich or poor as kids but he was very rude to austin..
Conrads breathing is to the point he should start doing a podcast with Dr Nowzardain
Yeah I understand that lol but the Stone Cold 98/99 episode is worth enduring his heavy breathing.

Conrad seems like he can’t wait for this episode to be over with, and the noise in the background is wild.. it’s like Conrad was multi-tasking and doing something else. He would ask a question setting up Bruce to go on a 2-3 minute long answer just so he could take care of whatever else he was doing. He didn’t really engage or follow up with anything Bruce said.
I assumed it would be the other way around with Bruce going back to WWE but Bruce seemed more engaged than Conrad did. Hopefully it was just due to what had to have been a hectic wrestlemania week.
