Yamaha Zuma Carburetor Rebuild 2003-2008

Carburetor rebuild on a 2008 Yamaha Zuma minerelli. I believe the carbs on all the 2 stroke Zumas and vinos are the same.

Maybe you can help. Just had my 07 in the Yamaha dealer for constant using of starter fluid and they said it wasn’t the choke it was my bad piston. So I have a new piston. It started great for 2 weeks and now back to long cranks. If I drive it to the store and come out right away you would think because it’s all warmed up and hot it would start right away , it doesn’t. A little bit of cranking first. Then when I come to a stop sign I have to throttle it while braking cause it may die out. I just put new spark plug in but no difference and I also use Marine gas.
Any ideas???

Do you have any experience with the oil injection. My sons zuma is using excessive oil and smoking a lot. Any info is appreciated. Ty

Interesting, I do not know what would cause that. What happens if you dont have oil in the tank and run premix?
