At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I understand Hurrem very well. In those days, these were the laws and orders. Shah Sultan correctly said that none of them were asked before they were married off. Mihrimah was no exception, and Hurrem first of all thought about her 4 sons, who could be executed one day in front of her eyes, and Hurrem needed a faithful ally in the political component.
18:04 Mihrimah' tears
Which episode is this that Rustem survived his assasination plot by sending another group that got attacked thinking he was in that carriage? That tactic impressed both Hurrem and Suleiman and solidified hurrem's choice of Rustem as Mihrimah's husband. Gives off Virgo energy indeed.. even I was impressed
Episode 136. In this at9:00 is that
title is cringe
🙃🙃
That's not Fair 🙃
To quote Şah here, it almost never is.
13:16 ibrahim called hurrem sultan dragon too, the prophecy is fulfilled!
16:32 hureem sultan is the valide sultan, thats why! The position belongs to her
13:16 mahidevrna calls hurrem sultan dragon as per prophecy of episode 46
Worst mother for one daughter. What a shame for REAL Hürrem. She would die for Mihrimah
The way the show handled this was so bad honestly
@@hurremsultannss true:(
@@ramn_bennington I feel like the second writer who took over after Meral Okay's death could be quite misogynistic so a lot of the female charactes including Hürrem become more demonised.
*Hurrem was the brutal, most wicked character and power hungry ,she used mihirmah in her dirty politics. Rustem also cheated on mihirmah and was a part of biyazid and Mustafa execution.*
You are exaggerating about Queen Hurrem.
@@lindarasid6487well Hürrem didn't was a good mother for Mihirmah in the show. In real life yes
And she on him😂 so whats your point ?
@@manonmus9806she don't have s3x with Pedro, Rustem yes
Dirty politics? If hurrem sat by and allowed Mustafa to ascend the throne her kids would be dead and Mihrimah stupidly went and gave her consent to the marriage to Suleiman 😂 after the birth of Ayse Humasha she later admitted that she now saw her mothers perspective as a mother herself
