I been a fan of kyle's choreography for awhile and then I got into kpop and learned that he also does kpop choreo and it made me so happy. honestly, a legend.

I personally think he understand the concept of each group really well. He can create moves that fits the song and the style of the group
Basically every choreographer usually taking all different types of classes. But to understand all the different types of dances correctly and remember how each of them works is hard. MAD RESPECT

well actually Hanagami has been a professional dancer and choreographer before his career within kpop... He has his own massive dance academy and has worked with global stars like Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, and even many years with the official Disney crew.

Girl group dances focus on hand movements. Even the dances he did not touch like MOMOLAND's or IZONE's
Now that these are all put together, you can kinda tell he has a specific style to his dances. All these choreographies seem to have a lot of arm waving movements, where your really focus on upper body synchronicity in the hands/arms? Idk how to explain it. But when you see these dances back to back, some of them you're kinda like "ahhh that makes sense they're by the same person". but separately, they're all amazing dances that become iconic to the song.
That's what I was thinking!! All of them are base in Sync, arms, legs, waves according to the music is the power of the move ... I get it! My favorite is fx 4 walls that dance is beautiful flows with the music when you dance that choreography you can feel it 😍
Yes!! I noticed the arms, and there’s a lot of formation changes with the circle or formation rotating to bring another member to the front. It’s especially clear with NCT Dream, EXO CBX, Red Velvet, and Blackpink in a row

i think it's in big part to
1. preserve the dancer's energy, while also making it look like a lot is happening (running around is more exhausting)
2. make the dance catchier and easier to dance in a half-assed way (k-pop choreographies are usually meant to be replicated by fans etc.)

I know what you mean, but there are a number of choreographers who love to try different styles; Kyle is lucky that they let him do different styles; if there is one drawback he tends to get typecast into doing more girl group choreographies

He's not exclusive. Its always contractual
He accepts commissions. SM requests the choreography from him, he does it and get paid. Yes, he works *with* SM and all other companies if needed, but definitely not a "belonging" of any companies.
He is very famous even in the states so I assume he gets paid for a lot too. Very innovative and amazing choreography always. No wonder SM likes his work.

You can find the information on internet xdd
Choreographers share and talk about their work on social media. Sometimes, they'll give extra info of stuff that didn't work or didn't make into the final version of the dance. Companies also give credits to choreographers in the description box (not sure if all of them do it, but it's not uncommon) so you can find their name there. The idols might've mentioned it somewhere. Fans come from different walks in life and many keep up with both sides of the world so info comes from there too (: These are just some obvious ways of getting the info on the choreographers, I'm sure there are other ways too.
This just made me realize how much talent and work there is behind every comeback a group/idol has. Choreographer(s), dancers, producers, lyricists, composers, stylists, designers, directors, cameramen, and so much more. Kpop is truly a masterpiece, and to think these idols debut at such a young age and have to present the other people’s works flawlessly to the public. They have so much weight on their shoulders. It’s incredible.

Red Velvet is my favorite group and I thought it was because of the cheerful, catchy songs; Seulgi being such an amazing dancer; the off-the-charts visuals...but I didn't realize that part of it is because most of their songs were choreographed by Kyle Hanagami! It makes more sense now!

In my opinion I thinks his bed choreography is 4 walls! I remember when I saw Fx first performance of this song I was out of words. I kept thinking of how amazing work the coreographer did with the movements and synchronization everything is flawless about that dance.
And as a dancer I can say that I learned must of his dances because they go very well with how you expect to move the body according to the music, not sure if someone understands me on this LOL
