auld lang syne

this was a challenging year
a lot of unwanted change, and then a LOT of stagnation
a lot of doubt, despair, anger, shame
but also the most joy, peace, hope, and friendship I have felt ever
and I am ending the year feeling so much better than when it began and I am so grateful
2024 will be full of changes for me and I am terrified but I am ready
