these companies should be held liable for how poorly they make these things, in 3 years im on my 4th game controller.... i play racing and rts game so im not even pressing the thumbstick aggressively ... for 70-80$ a piece, this is totally insane
I wish these thumbsticks were modular and user replaceable. I have 5 too many controllers in the drawer unused because of the aggravating drift issue.. not much time on my hand to learn soldering at the moment but wish it was a skill I had.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I love you videos and ask one question. What grip sheet do you recommend, all of the ones I buy have way to much grip and end up either taking some of the print or the print taking some of the sheet. I’m thinking about getting a magnetic one, please help.
Thanks! Of my two printers, the one is configured with a creality glass build plate and the other is the standard magnetic one that came with the printer. If you're printing in PLA, I hear a lot of good things about PEI flex sheets, but I've never used them before.
Gawd damnit, I have an original Xbox one elite, and the controller started to drift and I tried cleaning it out but to no avail. I might watch this video when I try to repair it again lol
I never had drift with any Xbox controllers but all ps5 controllers! I don’t know why supplies their thumbsticks now! I even have all og ps3, ps4 controllers and they are still working fine!
Weird. I saw a video the other day about the Xbox bumpers. And I mentioned I was having issues with my PlayStation controller sticks where sometimes it would randomly just move my character to the left or would turn to the left. Having issues with both the left and right sticks.
i had stick drift in my ps4 controller really badly, i could be set to a high deadzone (alot higher than it should be for fps games) and it would still be acting up, took the controller apart put some oil in the center, moved it side to side up and down for 5 minutes, didnt get stick drift again especially when i lowered my deadzone on cod and other games that had deadzone options.
I bought one of the A-Power controllers with the lights in it... Pretty sad when my original 360 controller is still functional. But this thing has crapped out under a year.
It’s cause my death grip on the sticks. Vast majority of console players is that they subscribe to the thought that pushing harder on the sticks makes you go faster
one time i had a controller that was broken cuz of a specific part that i knew what it was i just don’t know what it’s called put i had another older ugly controller so i thought i’d just fix the broken one with a part from the other controller and i ended up with 2 broken controllers
Wait it's that easy to remove those damn things? I feel like an idiot as a controller Tech😂😂😂 then again I am just starting out and haven't really felt comfortable with resoldering parts such as thumb sticks but knowing that it's this easy now I might give it a shot
Hey, I replaced the analog stick on the right side of my controller, i soldered it and such but on my Xbox it continuously moves to the left on my screen on games like eldenring or fortnite, what do u think the problem is?
Hi question here recently both my Xbox controllers one for my PC one for my Xbox one have started to activate the left trigger when pushing up on the right analog stick (thumb stick) is there a way to fix it
how to fix headphones audio working but party can't hear me because headphone jack was broke into it but has gotten removed and tired a different headphones but now party can't hear but I can
I have an Xbox Elite wireless controller series 2. The left bumper is soft when pressing and won't work sometimes. Ive tried cleaning it with alcohol but to no avail. Could I send it to you and pay for it to get fixed?
One question I have Is a issue with a Xbox 1 not s or x or anything just a Xbox one Wich the issue seems to be common and may be something about the age of the Xbox as it won't exactly turn on but it's still active and functional others have had a similar issue but fixed it in simple and easy ways even mine did but then immediately reverted to it's previous condition in a worse state
My thumbsyicks dont have drift but they feel really loose, I know the pro controllers have a way to tighten them. Is there any way to do that on a normal oke controller.
OMG why they add layers to this thing O.o" Xbox360 controller works just like this one and has a simple construction. Case has 2 parts - back and front and that's pretty much all
At that point im buying another controller 💀
Hahahah same
5$ vs 60 or 70 💀
for the price of a brand new controller that will give these problems within a year, you can buy probably... more joysticks that you will ever need

Its honestly not hard my mom bought me a kit and my first time using it I fixed my taser
Is that or buy insurance on it
@@ReaperOfDeath339do you know how much the kit cost?
@@FlaqqitooI mean they are cheap and they cost way less then a controller you can search it up but I wouldn’t recommend getting the really cheap ones.

Gotta wait until the hall effect joysticks become mainstream for the controller

man invented the sonic screwdriver to fix the controller :D

To reduce the risk of breaking something, i absolutely broke the fuck out of it.
Oh, thanks for the tip. I’ll just go grab my soldering iron that I have just lying around.
bro i love your videos keep upnthe good work definitely going to try this on my controller
This is a real extraction looter/shooter unlike the other softer ones out there. Excluding marauders, cycle frontier and ones similar.

Great video man!
Thank you!!
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone not experienced in soldering because you're likely to fry the circuit board.
Controller is pooped anyway🤷♂️

If you got an old controller laying around this is a great way to learn how to solder!
What replacement sticks do you recommend?
Plz tell me I'm not the only person that, idk, within 3-4 months of using a brand new controller I've already caused stick drift
Could you do one on what the flux does and hot use it
Imagine a 15 yrs old tried this then end up cant put it back together 💀
so why did I never get stick drift on my 360 controllers I had the same one for 5 years and it still works to this day
Mostly where it's made
I was suffering from stick drift not too long ago, wish I would've seen this sooner
Could you make the classic cube from Geometry Dash

Do you do elite 2 controller repairs?
Ive had that exact same controller for 7 years, and i broke yesterday, w xbox
Won't the new joystick not be calibrated correctly if simply replaced?
in my experience yes, you would be very lucky for it to be cetered. I wonder why almost no video talks about this
@dgr1209 there is one video and CZcamsr who goes into depth about manually calibrating it without software, I'll reply you the link
That is the exact same blue Xbox One controller that I have that has been drifting

Changing potentiometer is the ideal thing to do rather than replace the whole stick,I only recommended this if the stick is clunky and damaged.
Oh yes because I have a soldering iron lying around
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can we do a Hall effect replacement for elite 2 ?
You should probably explain to your audience. What a solder pump is!
I don't know what material the soldering is on my Xbox one controller but I have spent 2x the price on it then on a new controller......
