I actually learned this method in one of your previous videos and have used it ever since.

Yes, in crossgrain chiseling the trick is to come in and slightly upwards from both sides and then lower the angle until you meet the other edge. When done perfecly, you end up with a level surface. That's the fun kind of woodworking, screw routers :-)

Very unrelated to the video content, but your voiceover sounds exactly the same as it does when you're filming regularly! What magic is this? Like 99% of other channels have two very different sounds for recording the camera and the voiceover work, like one uses the camera microphone and the voiceover uses the most amazing microphone for vocal work and it sounds so off. That is absolutely amazing, I am super impressed and very very happy about that lol.

sounds completely different to me, and the voiceover has a weird resonance on it.

Hi Ben, I have a question !!. What are your musical influences?? You can answer in the comments or please feel free to take it to a video pod cast ?. You strike me as the type of guy who will either listen to classical music or go head banging ACDC. Please share with us all ??. Love the work you do Ben :)

wouldn't the half lap have been easier to just cut down one line and then cut down the other instead of chiseling it?
