"Fun" update on Roda JC. The team that celebrated promotion to the dutch Eredivisie to ealry. They just got knocked out of the promotion play offs in the first round be losing to NAC 1-8 on aggramegate. Nac barely even made it to the play offs because they where joint 8th with 2 other teams but had a slightly better goal difference

I was at the game as a union fan, later a player went down and stayed on the field for a while and we kept screaming "BRING BACK THE TRASH CANS" at the people with the stretchers. We also yelled "drop him" when they got him on the stretcher.

Nah my friend, it’s not a dog, it’s a raccoon. They’re very common all over the US both in rural areas and in the cities. They love hanging out in garbage cans and dumpsters to scavenge for food, but very uncommon as an animal that someone would keep. The raccoon was almost certainly just scavenging for food around the stadium and found his way onto the pitch. They’re very good at hiding and worming their way into spaces they don’t belong. They would be sorta annoying to have around if they weren’t so cute lol

so i will say that it's honestly a really good thing that the staff at the stadium didn't jump right in to try to get the raccoon bc when an animal like a raccoon (not domesticated like a dog or cat, not a bird like... a bird) ends up in the middle of all those people, that can be a sign the animal has rabies bc rabies affected animals lose their fear of humans. based on the fact Racquinho did start running from the staff after they came out with trash cans, you can be 99% sure he didn't have rabies thankfully, but maybe the staff were waiting for some animal control or vet guy to confirm that based on behavior, a video, or even to arrive and they were (some) of the trash can guys.
