Thank you for another good reaction.This concert was held The Holy Barbara Church,in Dreumel,The Netherlands,on 16 December,2019.Amira was fifteen.At this concert,in addition to Pie Jesu, Amira sang. Panis Angelicus,Hark The Herald Angels Sing,Ave Maria,Silent Night,How Great Thou Art(Accompanied by her father,on the pipe organ). A similar concert was held at The St Stevens Church, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Amira's home town, on 16 December 2017.This was after Amira moved to South Africa. Reguards from Michael Jonathan Lewis,Johannesburg, South Africa.

Great reaction! The highest note in this hymn is Ab5, very easy for a super soprano like Amira, who can sing 9 notes higher than this. And then she sings this note in a super powerful way by splicing two crescendos. She projects a long crescendo from this note and, when everyone thinks she's out of breath, she increases the volume in a new crescendo, without pausing, without breathing, with total agility. This is the hallmark of top tier sopranos. But executing this with a super-powerful voice is Amira's hallmark alone.
Amira has become the best opera singer of our time. Her voice is like velvet. Thank you for all the nice reactions.

"Pie Jesu" is another of those titles like "Ave Maria", that a number of composers used. This version is by the English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Amira has also sung another version, by the French composer Faure - it's well worth hearing
