I hate to say this but few would respect / appreciate this as much as Hickok does. No question that it ended up in the perfect hands.
I have THE Krag carbine that my grandfather was issued in WW1. (Along with associated documentation!)
It was left to me because I'm the only one of 4 grandkids that would NEVER consider selling it.
I'm amazed over how many have asked "what I could get for it."

My mom always said that when someone wants to give you a gift always accept it graciously because you never want to take their joy away. If you ever felt a desire to give someone something and they showed true appreciation there is joy you experience that you can't get any other way. It would be wrong to rob some kind soul of that joy. It truly is better to give than to receive.

I am keenly aware how they have been used to help support freedom all over the world for many many decades. They are a great equalizer where the weak and fairer gender can protect themselves against the miscreants our society produces. And they’re just a whole heck of a lot of fun to shoot,. The thing i've always loved about this channel is that it's family friendly. The whole family can watch it. My son started watching when he was 8 and never had to worry about content.

This is the most amazing and heartfelt video on CZcams in 2024.
    Beautiful piece of machinery.

This brings up a very important subject for me. My father handed down his guns, namely his SO S&W57 and a 1873 38-40 because all the rest of the family just wanted to sell them off for the money. My son would trash or loose them and have no other family that would cherish them like I do. I applaud their choice, Well Done!!
