Jaikishan was always the darling of the film music . His wonders came to light when he died so early. Till he was present S J ruled undisputedly. Had he been alive, the scene of the filmi music would have been something else. Everyone fell prey to his charming personality and pleasent music. Including Lata. Above all he was the fastest background scorer.He would just come listen the situation , score the music and would go. Same was the case with his composition of songs. Early in the morning he would come and within two hours he would do everything and then started his parties..He was the fastest composer in his field and industry missed him today also.

It is very difficult to choose one album of lP out of hundreds of superhit albums. Bobby, sargam, hero, dosti, ek duje ke liye, Milan, do rastee, daag, karz, Ram lakhan, Amar Akbar Anthony..... All are favourites.
Satyam Shivam Sundaram is the most outstanding masterpiece.
When first time listened to songs from Psrasmani, I thought of SJ. It is done exactly like SJ Style. LP has scored few other songs in earlier days in style of SJ. Even Kalyanji- Anandji have talked about it. Example Movie Chhalia (Raj Kapo, Netanyahu, Pranji).
It is very difficult to select my favourite movie which has songs composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal ji. However, I can say that all the songs of 'Dosti' are superbly composed by them and will ever remain in our hearts.
No one come close to maestro shankar jaikishan. They did everything from pure harcore classical, semi classical, jazz,waltz,disco beat, gazal,bhajan ...

कहानी अधूरी है। राज साहब ने पहले मुकेश जी को भेजा लता जी के पास कि वो उनकी फ़िल्म में गाने गाने के लिए मान जाए। उन दिनों लता जी का राज साहब और शंकर जी के साथ मनमुटाव चल रहा था। मुकेश जी के बहुत मनाने पर लता जी तैयार हो गई कि वो गायेंगी मगर शंकर जी के लिए नहीं। फिर तीन संगीतकारों के नाम तय किए गए। लक्ष्मीकान्त प्यारेलाल नम्बर एक पर थे। राज साहब को कहीं न कहीं मन में शंकर जी को हटाने का दुख था, तो उन्होंने मुकेश जी को ही कहा कि वो शंकर जी और लक्ष्मीकान्त प्यारेलाल को ये खबर दें। मुकेश जी शंकर जी के म्यूज़िक रूम में ताडदेव गए और भारी मन से खबर दी। उसके बाद दोनों बहुत देर तक खामोशी से बैठे रहे। ये क़िस्सा स्वर्गीय विजय किशोर दूबे जी ने स्वयं मुझे बताया। दूबे जी एच एम वी के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट थे और पूरी आ के की टीम के बहुत क़रीब थे। संज्ञान रहे उन्होंने आंशिक फ़िल्म का निर्माण भी किया था।

After jaikishan expired, the film industry boycotted Shankar including Raj Kapoor. Only person stood by him was sohanlal kanwar who signed Shankar for Beimaan, Pehchaan, Do Jhoot, etc

LP were lucky that almost all big banners of SJ turned towards them after death of Jaikishan. SJ banner collapsed due to difference between SJ and later fell due to death of Jaikishan. But it can't be predicted had SJ banner survived 1970's and 1980's without death of Jaikishan whether LP had surpassed them. It's totally soevulative. I think SJ had infinite nos of musical ammunitions in their armour. Their command on classical and western music and top class orchestra and background score makes them invincible
