He says "In 30 years of my life I can say I have only one friend in film industry who is Raj jee. The friend on whose shoulder you could cry. I couldn't get any other friend in last 30 years. Raj Kapoor is my only friend."
Rajendra Kumar Tuli was an Indian film actor who starred in Bollywood films. Starting his career in 1950, he appeared in more than 80 films in a career spanning over four decades. He was considered one of the most successful Indian Bollywood actors in the 1960s. He also produced several films starring his son Kumar Gaurav. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 1969.
He was born in a Punjabi Hindu family in Sialkot, in the Punjab province of British India, .
Ranbir Raj Kapoor also known as "the greatest showman of Indian cinema",] was a noted Indian film actor, producer and director of Hindi cinema. Born at Kapoor Haveli in Peshawar to actor Prithviraj Kapoor-he was a prominent member of the Kapoor family-that produced several celebrated Bollywood superstars.
Kapoor is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers and actors in the history of Indian cinema.[5] He was the winner of several accolades including 3 National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards in India. The Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award is named after Raj Kapoor. He was a two-time nominee for the Palme d'Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his films Awaara (1951) and Boot Polish (1954). His performance in Awaara was ranked as one of the top ten greatest performances of all time by Time magazine. His films attracted worldwide audiences, particularly in Asia and Europe. He was called "the Clark Gable of the Indian film industry".
The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 1971 for his contributions to the arts. India's highest award in cinema the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed him in 1987 by the Government of India.

One of the most intelligent person, the first and last jubilee kumar Dr. Rajendra Kumar has been a true philanthropic person. Very religious, spiritual and a down to earth, he used to help the needy persons without letting anyone know about the same. The industry didn't give him his due by honouring him with film awards under the influence of the film personalities who were jealous of his popularity, calibre and capabilities. It was obvious that with an oblique motive the same types of people also made the allegations that Rajendra Kumar used to copy one of the stars from the industry.
Whereas Rajendra Kumar has been a natural actor with his unique style and mannerism who never used gimmicks and never ever over-acted like many others of that era.

Raj Kapoor was great visionary and so cast none other than Rajinder Kumar in his dream project" Sangam" when Dilip Kumar refused the offer.Rest is now history as the film broke box-office records and credit for this given to jubilee Kumar.
unfortunately great Rajinder Kumar was overlooked by critics and was not considered even for film fare awards, when he was nominated four times.this all happened when jubilee Kumar was considered as star was born and poled highest no of votes by his fan club throughout the world. I think professional competition and other inimical forces within film industry did not want him to achieve such great heights, to which he had already touched.
anyway ,sometimes I feel as a critic why so other lesser known actors have been awarded film fare awards and great first superstar was overlooked. this is like a riddle and only time will tell the truth. AS for fans ,he is above awards and his films and acting talent is great treasure for his fans.

I forgot I read somewhere legendary rajendra Kumar had to do many South Indian banner hindi films because of which he had to go to Madras several times he fell in love with Madras and people of that place surprisingly as a result he learned to speak Tamil which is not that an easy language.

I live in America New Jersey since 35 years , there are lots of Fans of Super Star Rajendra Kumar in Indian Community New York and NewJersey, this super talented star did so well in his career, gave Hits after Hits but Bollywood and Film Fare Association never considered and recognized for any Film Fare Awards to him.......Super Legend Rajendra Kumar was very well deserved , its very pathetic and I feel very sorry for Indian Film Industry and Filmfare Association for their ignorance....... Super star Rajendra Kumar was above and beyond and he was above all Film fare Awards..........
