Not sure i like the way the inquisitor was portrayed in Kenobi. It's not even about his looks, he just doesn't feel that threatening
Not to mention they faked his murder Just to justify Reva's survival after Vader uncharacteristically did not kill her immediately. Now somehow any weakling can survive a lightsaber to their gut if they're angsty enough
@@derrickstorm6976 Kylo took a bowcaster to the gut and shrugged it off, so I'm not surprised with anything Disney does anymore. Lightsabers mine as well be plastic bats and blasters be squirt guns.
I loved the Kenobi series, the only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the Grand Inquisitor had no facial expressions. Like his creepy smile was PEAK in Rebels

I'd say he'd be somewhere between Asajj Ventress and Darth Maul/Count Dooku's level. Definitely more powerful than Ventress but not quite as powerful as Dooku or Maul
The Grand Inqusitor is one of the best characters from the Disney Canon. Glad this video did him justice!!
Rebels is mostly a kids show, and somehow I find him one of my favorite characters, even if he doesn’t really do much other than fight Ezra and Kansan a couple of times. I love him.

@@masterofderp8373 well, We use SW5e (Star Wars 5e for it. Its kinda like traditional DnD but the classes are bit different. But its fun.). Our camp starts roughly, at the start of The Empire's rule. With some stuff from legends mixed in here and there.
Our group is a bunch of inquisitors got intro to GI (Grand Inquisitor) before getting brutalized by Vader. An since then, we've been going on adventures here and there. Hunting rogue jedis/rebels and stuff like that.
Each member gets to be DM for their thing and we switch so no one person gets burned out DMing.

I would love to see you do a video detailing the non-Jedi training that Jedi padawans received. For example, in addition to Jedi training, what other education did they have? I'm sure they had to learn at least basic math, and what about the native languages and cultures from their various species? Since they were taken so young, and since the Jedi was an intergalactic group with all sorts of different species, I'm sure republic basic was spoken throughout the order, yet, Jedi travelled throughout the galaxy as peace keepers, so I was wondering how many languages they learned. A lot of species could understand but not speak Republic basic. Was it simply through protocol droids translating?

A surprize to be sure but a wellcome one, the best character from the Disney era (The Grand Inqsitor is in my top 10).
Enjoyed, and good background on grand inquisitor, also although I don't like ad's in you tube videos I will say to the audience that audible is very good, listening to books in heavy traffic, kept me sane, also long airplane flights, for us as Star Wars fans I highly recommend the bane series either on audiobook or regular book you will not regret it

Oh.. Why oh why include that Ahsoka leaving scene?.. That scene to be honest is so good, accompanied with just the right underscoring touch in music, still leaves a small tug at my heart every time I watch that scene..
I wish the Obi-Wan show had leaned more into the creepy Nosferatu vibe for the Grand Inquisitor's design. Sure, it would have looked a little goofy, but so does the final version. Some Star Wars things are goofy and that's fine.

+ the Temple Guards probably saw how the war corrupted the Order better than any other Jedi, because they didn't see the rationalising events on the battle fields and so only saw the change they caused

OH, lastly, seeing that inquisitor fortress, I had a thought, the floors are as so often in the sequal trilogy - reflective and shiny, ehm,, they look.. just so slippery.. I mean, try run and you'd most likely just stumble.. or run close to the open section's edge - glide/slide and just.. fall off the edge.. jeesh..
Honestly tho-how can Barris and even other Jedi believe they lost their ways? I mean if you didn’t know it was Palpatine as Darth Sidious, it would look legitimate to defend yourselves against a growing threat, led by a cyborg and corrupt dark Jedi.
Jedi should have attempted to keep peace between the two sides and not participate in the fight.

As soon as a sith is involved, it's war. Perhaps they could have tried to negotiate a peace somehow. But again, knowing that the CIS was controlled by a sith, and knowing what the sith ultimate goal always is, kinda makes negotiation impossible. Even more so when said sith controls both sides.
The worst thing the Jedi did was tie themselves as an organization to the republic. Over centuries their ideologies got so mixed with the republic that by the time of sidious, they couldn't really differentiate between the two. They weren't "Jedi" they were "Jedi Defenders of the Republic"
Kinda like Christians and the Ultra conservative right. They've identified as conservative for so long that it seems they don't know the difference between the two. There's plenty of conservative views that don't fall in line with what the Bible teaches. But some Christians have identified as a conservative for so long that it seems they genuinely don't know the difference between a conservative view and a Christian view. It can happen with any group tbh, but I'm American so that's the one that comes to mind lol

23:45 Are you sure about that info, the new max security facility for holding Force users? This place didn't even have a planetary shield around it, or any sensors to detect incoming craft. Pretty sure the Death Star bathrooms were better guarded than this place
I'm not a fan of Disney's Star Wars, but the Grand Inquisitior was one of the few characters that I found entertaining. He reminded me of a gentleman villain or similar to Count Dooku, Dooku was the gentleman sith in the franchise even when doing some messed up stuff. The GI just felt like a less refined version of him but also had that sense of righteousness to him. What can I say, I'm a sucker for villains who think their doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, be it selfish or selfless acts.
P.s. I'm not talking about the GI from the kenobi series, that.......that's an entirely different person as far as I'm concerned

It would be fun to see a war between the Inquisition from Warhammer 40,000 lore and the Star Wars universe Inquisitorius. My money is on the WH40k Inquisitors. What do others think about this match-up?

Tara Sunuba and many more I think it would be really interesting to create a show that follows the stories of all of these survivors especially for cases like Obi-Wan Kenobi if they did something that showcases how he survived or 66 it would be a great segue into the show about him that recently came out and it would give us some great closure on many Jedi who We haven’t gotten closure on

see thiers two sides to it the one that makes more sense is vader destroy it bc he didnt want to risk palpy to replace him by one of those youglins or 2 to save them which is possible but vader seem paranoid at this time t o be repkace so ithink the first one
i think its out of spite for palpatine, vader knows he wouldnt be in this mess if he told palps to fuck off. so if the person who fucked my whole life up by pretending to help prevent my wifes death only to make me cause my wifes death, then kept me as a slave, id sabotage him out of spite, too.

In Legends. There is more than one Grand Inquisitor... And they're more powerful than the Canon Grand Inquisitor... Even the High Inquisitors are stronger than the Canon Grand Inquisitor... High Inquisitor Jerec is a great example...
The Grand Inquisitor actually killed the other guards. That is why there were none during Anakin’s march.

well they probably have knowledge no one else does, so if you destroy the archives its gone for good. plus her whole job is like a librarian on steroids. if the sith got hold of that knowledge it would be worse than that knowledge being lost because of what they would do with it, but even if destroying that knowledge forever was the only way to stop the sith, i dont trust jocasta nu, the jedi with a book fetish to hit the delete button. she could have just snuck past the grand inquisitor, but her pride got the best of her. mans hadnt even found the top secret books yet.

Confusing... Vader first kills younglings, then protects the identity of others from his master.
because palps lied when he said the dark side would save his wife, so when he killed her (due to the dark side corrupting his thoughts) he realized palps lied, he turned evil to save his wife, but her death wouldnt have happened if he didnt give in to the dark side. anakin realizes that palps was never an ally, but a manipulator. so he killed those kids for nothing, and his wife never would have died if he hadnt listened to palps, and to top the betrayal off, he was the one who murdered her. without his wife, kids, or obiwan, the only "friend" he has left is palpatine, and hes the reason the whole mess started. so when he saves the younglings from palpatine, its less because thats the right thing to do, more out of spite for the guy who fucked his life up and who owns him as a boss.
