savage actual, combat footage, news
I love how calm they are while they're fighting. True definition of professionals.
It's funny to see the young devil dogs reactions during combat and the SF guys lol
Well if you're in the army.
That's how you need to act.
So not that surprising
@@younghefner8343 it’s not surprising, I feel like he used the incorrect word. I think the correct way to describe it would be exhilarating. The knowledge that there are people willing to fight on our behalf with such composure that bullets landing at their feet doesn’t really bother them is bone chilling to any opponents.
To be honest this was pretty tame, they were fighting at a pretty long distance so fear of getting directly hit isn't that great. The enemy isn't bigger than a grain of sand in your iron sights so you're just shooting in the general direction of the enemy. If you want actual intense modern middle eastern gopro footage where people kill eachother face to face with knives and shooting eachother in the same room visit the subreddit r/CombatFootage. There you will find the side of warfare they do not show you on youtube and liveleak.
@@muffy469 glad to see the real expert on the case
I think I remember reading that shirtless dude is actually from New York and was there as an Interpretor. When one of the commandos got hit he picked up the AK and got some
He is former navy seal matos
@@felixjastivas8416 how do you know?
Yeah the shirtless guy said in perfect English “worst day to forget my belt” lol. Was he actually a Navy Seal?
One of the Afghan guys picked up his m4 too and started shooting it lol.
@@felixjastivas8416 that is not Ephraim Matos
Perfect English: “worst day to forget my belt”
lmao
@@fankeek Facts LOL
How do you say it properly?
@@rodozenandez285 just like that gentleman did
He had no accent at all that was surprising LOL
Not gonna lie I like this a lot more obviously it's just my opinion yall can post whatever yall want but I like you guys reacting to real stuff that's happened cause your insight is much more in depth and personal cause you know what's happening more as opposed to video games where there's like nukes and shit every second
Thanks Neo, we always appreciate constructive comments and feedback. Spread the word about the channel!
@@SAVAGEActual holy shit yall responded thanks and yeah for sure I tell all my friends about you guys this channels awesome keep it up guys👍
@@SAVAGEActual Moar pls
bro I agree with you, but my brain needed to take a breath after reading that shit. Periods look like this: .
@@SAVAGEActual,, Hi Jason, in you story about the Afghany POW you where guarding and talking to, you mention your 1911 my question is as to your combat experience what's best .45 or 9mm? thanks
I'm actually from Bosnia and the war was 25 years ago, but basically nothing has changed, everything Patrick said is 100% correct
Rough stuff man. I wish you and your people the best.
@@SAVAGEActual You guys should react to operation redwings combat footage that's about 17 minutes long. Love the channel guys, be safe 🙏
@@SAVAGEActual Can you guys make video where you talk about your experience overseas, my friends and I are from Bosnia and we think that would be interesting.
@David May It's doing alright now, we've rebuilt everything from ground up, tourism is our bright side, there's no tension but people are still pretty much ethnically divided and hate each other because of the genocide the happened in the 90's. We're soon to join NATO and hopefully the EU so we can start making real progress.
@@DynamicCube Still a bunch of wartorn buildings from the war especially in Bihac
That is a incredible short story about talking with enemy pow. Id love to hear a hour or so long podcast on just that. Lol

Lmaooooooo
Was he American or Afghan
@@armyguyautographs4083 Unsure
@@armyguyautographs4083 I think he was native to the area, they said he wasn't speaking English for most of the video
@@SamaelVR they are “afghan commandos” and they are relatively well trained compared to most afghan troops (aka they don’t do heroine and smoke pot all day)
You guys are the only reaction channel I can stand. No bullshit or over acting. It's the same feeling as watching shit with the boys. Keep it up.
Because these guys are actually giving useful insight, they have first hand experience and knowledge that not many people have, most reaction channels are just "haha wow that's cool"
Lunkers is pretty good too
When I was in Afghanistan I always wore glasses so I could sleep but no body could tell.
We all did. Had to give our goggles a wipe down every 10 mins lol
@tinymahuta I went to phoenix a few times, bunch of sandstorms for me though.
12:20 he says I'm gonna cover you. You run dude goes "ya that's cool bruh. Worst day to forget my belt" hahaha
Perfect English too 🤣
What a legend 🤣
They just assume hes foreign but he’s an American soldier lol
I'm stoked these dudes stood up their own channel. I dug the stuff they did on that gaming show.
That intro was best 😂
Definitely down for more combat footage vids!
Thanks!!
A team of British marines used a Karl Gustav to fuck up a argentine destroyer during the falklands campaign to the point the destroyer had to retreat because the endless sniper and Karl Gustav fire nearly destroyed the bridge and other weapons systems it’s a bloody legendary weapon
Agreed chez...pretty badass launcher!
Sounded like he said "Worse day to forget my belt".
He did
Dude these videos get better and better
Appreciate the feedback Tango. Let your friends know! we are trying to get to 100K!
@@SAVAGEActual will do
Wait a dang second... Patrick's 46 years old? Dude looks younger than me and I'm 26!
I was thinking he was around 29 or 31
he was in the military for like 25 years... somehow he's just immune to aging
@@dkroll92 He hasn't got time to age...
dye your hair black too XD
@@Maxfoshow it's all good no worries, your not the first to tell me that. I get told I look like I'm in my forties alot
Thanks for the feedback!! Dont just watch, ! That more than anything helps us build this channel!! It helps us connect with you and allows you to know when our new stuff comes out!! If you love our stuff become a member! Membership gives you some cool perks and gets you some more time to chat with Patrick and Jason!! We love you Savage Army!!
Stay Savage!!!
Love to see a reaction to this shit: czcams.com/video/fwOacKIkMG4/video.html Maybe some footage from the Azeri-Armenian war that just ended a couple weeks ago too. Would be interested to see your take on all the drones/ "loitering munitions" and how you would deal with such threats.
More combat footage guys. Having your expertise on these videos really helps put combat into better perspective. As a civilian who plans on joining the Army Infantry (goal is Ranger school) I enjoy learning more about the military lifestyle.
You erased "share the video" or "like" or whatever.
Would love to see you guys check out some more movies like we were soldiers, sand castle, danger close or even stuff like the shootouts from jack ryan or the catacombs scene from john wick 2 or the hotel from 3!
Afghanistan: the graveyard of empires
We have been there for 20 years and no where close to securing the country..Deployed there and we will never wjn.
I know it's a long shot with all the copyright shit you have to go through but it'd be killer if you guys reacted to some generation kill scenes (and maybe even watch it with a special fruity guest) (I only ask about rudy cause he's the only one I've seen out of the bunch who's active on the internet)
We are working on that!!vThanks for the comment.
Hey Dude, with reservation for a major whoosh on my side, this might blow your mind. Jason is the real life Jason Lilley. Portrayed in Generation Kill by actor Kellan Lutz as (then) Cpl. Lilley (humble guy with the camcorder)
Stay humble,
great show, Savage Actual
peace
@@simonkyro661 oh I know lol that's why I want him to bring on rudy cause I feel like they'd have some cool things to talk about
@@SAVAGEActual You have the creative right to review/react to any show or program with the the actual footage playing. As long as it's label a review
"Worst day to forget my belt" haha.
One of the craziest battles in the Middle East in somewhat recent times was the battle of Danny boy, The British lead an extremely successful bayonet charge against the Taliban and from what I know the British didn’t lose a single man, and took out a large enemy mortar position, and they actually killed some of the enemies with their bayonets.
The Taliban had been telling their men that Brits were cowards who would flee the moment they took fire. Talk about a plan bwckfiring!
I'm glad you guys moved to independent production. I love it
Like that y'all are pretty insightful about the war and the background, and history of it. Keeping it civil and apolitical, better than some other vets react channels out there. Also empathetic of the civilians, good stuff!
Love listening to these guys explaining weapons systems, tactics and history. Gives us civilians insight on what our troops go through and have to learn before going to war.
You guys have served our country and I thank you for that
This is the kind of content I like. Real footage of professionals taking care of business and yall commentary is perfect.
I would love to see more of this kinda content; maybe some more “war stories” from either one of you if that’s allowed and you want to share.
You two are so cool and I love the channel
I’ve seen a video with one of these vehicles in it and the piles of brass in the bottom was in the way of shutting the door team was taking fire rolling away trying to get the door closed
I've seen that.
@@SAVAGEActual Thank you for making videos. Channel is badass.
Nice, I actually already saw this combat footage so it was cool to hear their thoughts on it
@Ezio Auditorium I love that drink! Thank you red balls!
I really love hearing you guys talking about these "warrior to warrior" conversations and war stories. Massive respect to all of you that have been through hell and would do it again if needed without a flinch.
I love seeing Patrick and Jason's perspective and commentary on this footage. They point out so many details I would have missed out on otherwise.
Favorite video of the whole channel
You guys just keep getting better and better
Y’all should do another one of these, this was cool
Watching you guys react and talk about this combat footage is so badass. Loved it.
Great stuff guys! You have so much to tell, wish you share your stories in depth. 10+ years of actual combat deployments, that is something. You ve got great sense of humor as well :) Keep going guys!
Thanks Erwin..we always appreciate the feedback.
Just wanna say I had family members serve in the military and I can’t tell you guys enough how much I love y’all, you guys are awesome and god bless!!
This is way better than reacting to video games. Freaking awesome guys.
Crazy I didn’t expect combat to look like this awesome to see what it really looks like! Great video keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Wow! Those games look super realistic!
Kidding, huge respect for you warriors out there.
Love you guys, down for more shit like this. Stay Savage.
This is so rad! More of these!!
This is what I was waiting for
I really enjoy this content to see yall locked in and engaging based off your insight is really fascinating
Agreed with NeoVester there y'all are in a unique position to give insight and explanations on combat footage and other related matters (MoH docs, military tech, etc.). Had the thought that y'all could even be the hub for which other Vets come and do commentary with. Love the prospects of the channel and the personality behind it, easy sub. Have fun!
This was a great video! please do more of these it’s very interesting and fun to watch🙏👌
Thank you both for your service. I have always wanted to join up but I’ve been turned down because of my asthma & flat feet. I respect the shit out of what you guys are about & the men and women just like you who serve every day. Hope you guys had a great Christmas & god bless.
i really like this kind of video, nice change of pace. keep it up!
This is awesome, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
This is great! More of this!
I’d definitely like see more content like this y’all 👍🏼. Great channel, keep it up guys.
Im so glad he came back to the POW story lol. left me on that cliff my guys! God Bless
Super insightful guys! Great work!
You guys are badass's thank you for service and keep up the good work on youtube brothers
I have to say this is awesome. Please keep making this type of content or maybe even reactions to boot camps or selections. Keep up the great work.
I tip my hat to the dude fighting without a shirt.
You guys are awesome. I'd sub to your channel even if wasn't all that entertaining (which it is) out of pure respect. Thank you for you're service. Love the videos.
You guys are awesome. Keep on keeping on
Really cool seeing you guys come into your own, nice job making the channel! Would be really cool to see your perspective on Scifi type of combat; animation stuff like Astartes showing big beefy dudes breaching a facility and then clearing corridors
Thanks for the comment. Appreciate the support!
Until today I had never seen either of you, now I am obsessed with your videos.
watch Generation Kill, Jason is one of the characters in that show (played by Kellan Lutz iirc)
It's crazy how chill and relaxed these guys can be while they're getting shot at in a life or death situation. Either these guys are fucking crazy on adrenaline or they have a lot of faith in their training, their buddies, and their gear. Mad respect either way. And while I get that they're very well trained to maintain calm in many different situations, it's not just the absence of panic as it just is the fact that there's this.....weird, lack of urgency that they have, although they're acting very objectively, it's so casual. It's almost like a training exercise. You'd never believe that there was lead being slung their way. The amount of mental conditioning these guys go through is incredible.
This is good content guys!! We need some more of this.
More in the works.
Love this, wasn't expecting a second video but I'm happy, I'd love to see you guys react to SAS selection Australia and see your take on our SF soldier selection process
I enjoyed this more than the game commentary. The stories and explanations are awesome!
Appreciate the feedback William..we will work more of these for you guys.
I was just thinking of you guys doing this and BOOM here it goes
Here for the videogame reactions, but staying for the content and the dudes, these two would make an awesome team out there
Honestly I really like these types of videos, because I want to join the Army or Marines when I'm 18 and this is cool because I get to see what actually happens on the battle field. Keep up the great work.
People die.
Love these types of videos would love a few more whenever you guys are ready 💪🏼
Will do. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome video guys, keep doing those reacts! Videogames are great too, but it's always good to see the real thing!
More to come!
Also please do more of these!!
Loved this. Great stories! More!
These guys are locked in as if they just returned to a battlefield calm collected and ready to execute thank you for your service guys
Missed this guys A LOT
Nice video dudes hope there are more of these on the way with the personal experiences.
love the bit a the beginning lol
Loved it!! I like the new content and insight!
Awesome! Thank you!
Id be down to see more videos like this. Its one thing to watch these videos as a civilian, another to have a veteran walk you through what's happening

So awesome!
Best drink
Irn-bru.....made in Scotland...from girders! 👍🏻🤣
A welcome change of pace, good shit.
the man pictured at 14:43 was actually SFSG (Special Forces Support Group) and was disciplined for lying, saying he was SAS
Great content, always nice to hear vets talking about footage like this. I ran the sections Carl Gustav [ or '84' as its known in the Brit Army] for a couple of years. That all over body punch feeling when you fire is a rush ;). Back in the day the Swedes had a canister round for it :O
When the video of the shirtless dude popped up on r/combatfootage one of the guys from the unit said he was a american terp from like the bronx or something and that his family was from the middle east.
I doubt he was a terp. They are NOT allowed to carry weapons and engage the enemy like that. Unless they are military. Thanks for watching. Stay Savage!
@@SAVAGEActual IIRC it wasnt his gun it was the guy that got shot next to him being treated.
More of this please
This is awesome!
I am Swedish and i just started subscribing to your channel.
It makes me proud to hear your praise of the Carl Gustaf. I am a signalist in the Swedish homeguard best regards F
Love these real combat footage videos. A bit of context at the start of each clip would help, like which soldiers are fighting etc.
“Savage Actual” that’s such a original channel name, loving the content guys!
We hope you enjoy, and subscribed! We have new content every week.
USMC/ Vietnam Vet...You guys had better toys than we did! God Bless you both!
This is just as good if not better than then yall watching gameplay. I think this is a good model for yall. Some days games and some days real combat footage. Just became full that CZcams doesn't demonetize yalls combat videos please. We love and appreciate yall both
Really enjoyed this! Subscribed!
Thanks for watching!
I talked to some guys from Iraq who we were doing security for because they came to help America after their family was killed. Had a good conversation and gave me a better view on the war as a whole. The oldest guy told me "We dont want death to you, we want peace for us". Also asked me was 50 cent better than Jay Z lmao. Semper fi Gentlemen. Always appreciate y'all insights on videos
Amazing videos guys keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
Pleace do more of those
Its very interessting to watch
Great content. I think I can speak for everyone when I say I enjoy watching them look at combat footage.
Great footage guys, thanks.
Man you guys are awesome after seeing this real combat footage I feel all this combats shown in movies are little bit over hyped 😂 and I love that guy fighting without shirt
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching. We hope you subscribed and are enjoying the channel! Stay Savage!!
This is my fucking jam fellas, more of this content would be sick 🤘🏼
Love this type of reaction and is great to listen to! Hope you guys bramch out to other types of videos but more combat videoa as well! Keep being badass!
It would be great if you also reacted to combat footage from different countries. I would love to hear you guys compare their tactics and weapons to your own.
7:13 - Dude thank you for going back and finishing your story! I was bummed out when the story got cut off earlier in the video I wanted to hear it.
My neighbor was a Marine in Afghanistan and he showed me this gnarly looking shank/knife made out of bone...he took it off a guy in Afghanistan.. he said these dudes would come to their outposts or bases or whatever and they would carry these bone shanks because metal detectors couldn’t detect them and they would attack someone on base like straight suicide mission. Like they would pretend to have information or be friendly or whatever excuse to get in close and then they whip out a bone shank and try to stab someone...he told me that it happened several times
