Just discovered your channel due to your Eurovision reactions. Can’t wait to see future reactions of whatever you’re planning to react to. Big love from the UK 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
I'll be putting up a new Eurovision one tonight on Australia. Thanks for watching.
20:30 Yep, the fact that everyone was now allowed to sing in English I feel contributed to UK's decline in 2000s but there were other reasons as well I feel including the fact that alot more countries started competing as well as the publics perception of the contest going down in the UK which resulted in them having more difficulty in finding high quality artists to send as they didn't want to be associated with the contest. But also the songs they sent were just poor in general.
Thanks for the breakdown. I was curious what the reasons were for the decline.
The UK's second places are so good! Also 1992's Michael Ball is super famous on the West End (London's version of Broadway) and has been in Les Miserables and even Hairspray as the mom! Lucie Jones from 2017 is also big on the West End.
Katrina and the Waves also sang "Walking on Sunshine" and the lead singer is American 0:)
I plan doing a reaction of all the runner ups each year so I'll remember to keep a close eye on the uk ones again.
SchlagerLucas has a lot of compilation videos, he/she has made a big effort recopilating and editing. Big shout out to Shlagerlucas for the passion and love put on this work.

And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever"
- Bonnie Tylor
I knew she sounded familiar. Thanks for sharing that 😀
17:31 Yes i believe it reached 6 in the Billboard Hot 100
Thanks i knew I heard it before 😀
@@bigkevreacts There are more songs from eurovision that did not finish high but still became quite a hit in Europe and sometimes the US/global. Songs you might recognize are Italy 1958, Spain 1973, Italy 1987, Moldova 2010, Estonia 2011, Iceland 2020, Armenia 2022. They all didnt win but did chart every well.
Olivia Newton-John picked the wrong year to participate, because ABBA entered too, and well, the rest is history. 🥳
Yeah she didn't stand a chance against ABBA and Waterloo.
In the late 60s to mid 70s, the singers would perform a selection of songs for UK viewers to vote on. Many of the singers expressed disappointment with the songs that were chosen. 1969 singer Lulu had an Elton John composition amongst her six potential UK entries - but it was placed last! 1970 entrant Mary Hopkin loathed her song so much that she never performed it again 😳🤣
First star?! My man really glossed over Cliff Richard 😂
What happened to 98?! Literally my favourite ever uk entry 🙈
Some songs get blocked so I have to trim them out unfortunately 😕
@@bigkevreacts apparently copyright has taste! 🙈😂 Great video btw!
Ha.. It often does 😀
Also because they're in the "Big 5" they always auto-qualify, so they never fail to qualify, even if the song is errr bad.
For a next video you could maybe react to all 2022 or 2023 songs?
Good idea :)
Both UK and Ireland have done pretty bad since 2000
I'll have to check out Ireland in the near future.
Hey react to Australia in Eurovision
I have them on my list 😀
There’s one thing you should know. The artists don’t pick the song. The song is written and the artist is picked ;)
Wow..I had no idea. Thanks for sharing 👍
This is false
@@bigkevreacts thats not entirely true- some are. it is becoming more common to have someone else write the song, but thats not true.
Hi react Italy in eurovision history!
I'll be doing Italy soon. 🇮🇹
