Excellent a great collaboration of Chip Foose. I need to see more of this great project
Hell yeah Chip Foose does some awesome builds and excited to see what he creates with the Manx platform with empi parts. 🎉
😎👍🏽 let’s go EMPI!!!
EMPI is the new A Team! Great video!❤
Looking forward to seeing Chip’s final version of these!
Can’t wait to see these done. I love Manx hope it sparks new interest in such a fun car.
the fun just starting . Chip won't have a worry at all = hit the beach
I really like to see when Chip gets really excited about a project like this. Our early dealings with companies like Meyers and Empi started in the late sixties and shortening our own VW chassis'. We did bugspray manifolds and carbs, wild cams, big bore kits and bugspray stinger exhausts. We got a custom cam grinder in Alabama to 'weld and grind' some really great cams. With all that is available today, you realize we must be 'in heaven;'!!!
Chip you are the hero of restomod world Love you brother
Excellent

Very nice!!!
Shaweeet!
Had a Meyers Manx years back my dad bought for me to work on as a kid first project, and use it for hunting, it had the 36hp 1300cc in 63 pan so I'm assuming the motor was original to the pan. When we bough it the car came with a box of parts, found out later they were Okrasa intake manifolds, but no heads, or carbs. Was metal flake purple gel coated had the Chevy wheel adapters, and smoothies on it....
sounds like a great way to start your internal combustion journey!
Sucks I’m not going to SEMA this year but I’m sure there will be plenty of pics! And hopefully a video of the build.
Good vibes 🍟 🍪 chip LUV ❤️ 😍 ALONE RASTAFORI
Well Chip. I have a rare dune buggy. Bruce made only 2. I have the only one left.
So, is the basic chassis taken from an old VW or is this a brand new stamping?
Original chassis is shortened
Now you guys just need a Gervais Engine
Menifee California
Or pick 1 up at Meyers Manx
Thanks Jeff we are sure Chip has some ideas.....
Is the dune buggy chassis only for a Mayers Minks buggy?
Or can it fit a classic rear engine VW beetle chassis also?
hi David the Meyers Manx chassis is shortened to fit the buggy body
USE RLR Turbo Rev-6 Clutch System
As such. Basic price. 50k.
That is called a transaxell for a VW
I want to see the body! Fiberglass?
yes fiberglass-check out the EMPI Manx here: empius.com/1966-meyers-manx-built-by-empi/
Wow the seats are slick, and the metal flake takes me back there. @@EMPI_Inc
