Inspiring talk. We need such leadership stance that present, both concepts and practice on equality; equality that permeates down to the grassroots. GDP X 2 is an inspirational call to action!

Positions of power? Why power? Why not bricklaying? Why not sewage treatment? Construction crews? What do women do to contribute to the society that only men are building and maintaining? No, men build it and women expect to be in charge of it. When women can build a society, then they can be chosen to run it. Go back to your secretary job until you find the strength to pour concrete.

Sounds to me like women want just the pic of the good jobs. I have a crew that cleans the tampons condoms and diet pills out of municipality sewer systems and I've never had a woman apply for that job.

Why are not more women aspiring to be a construction labourer in the Middle East is beyond me! Let those poor guys stay with the kids and go toil away at skyscrapers ladies.

She should work to improve on this in rural areas. Corporate lecture is of no use as things are better here already. Don't understand this propaganda really. Those days gone now. In my life, I have seen women with good number , working on all levels (higher, middle, lower positions) right from primary school, College and then in Corporate companies I worked with. Demanding higher positions or pay based on gender, caste, community etc. so & so grounds is not right. There should be importance to merit, effort, responsibility, accountability & integrity.

Vomen underrepresented in supervisory roles? Why is that? The reasons could be many, lack of awareness, lack of confidence or mainly LACK OF ABILITY.

exactly. By that logic, the entire education system needs adjusting as women work way more within education and also do much better at school than boys. Oh yeah, because of SeXiSm.
